Cracking tips especially the electric cabling. Our storage yard has a policy no insurance, no storage, you even have to show proof of insurance which is copied and retained. Personally, all caravans should be a legal requirement. I use the worx hand lance with setting on sprinkler fed through a water butt, there’s no hose and tap ect on our storage yard.
Hello. I think sites should a warning about the cables. Our storage has a same policy about insurance. I have my trailer for cleaning but my water pump just pushes garden hose pressure thats all it needs plus some hard work. I have seen the worx system and how long you get from a full charge. Thanks Phil👍🙂
@@lostweekendscaravan Mine came with two 20v batteries. I take both with me fully charged. Only use one battery, from guessing I would say I used it for easy 20 minutes , I only use it for rinsing off or a quick soak on the panels. I think they’re brilliant for the job.
Hi David. I can't believe you been away again😂. Whole microwave out thats extreme but I know it makes sense. LWC is still in storage awaiting a trip out quite soon. Thanks for watching. I hope you and Lindsay are well. Thanks Phil👍🙂
@@lostweekendscaravan Hi Phil did you say you will do a review on Skoda I’m interested in one as my next tow car but unsure if automatic is up to it my Stirling moonstone is 1480 in weight
Good stuff Phill 👍 unfortunately some people are stubborn won't layout electric cable etc and there's lots of bad advice given on some of the Facebook groups .. good film 📽️ regards Glyn
I totally agree about the EHU cable. Also, I often see them being connected to the mains then being taken and plugged into the caravan, with the opposite happening when un-plugging, so a 'live' cable end is being lugged about! I have even seen an almost fully wound cable on a reel underneath the fuel tank on a motorhome!!
Hi Keith. Snap I have seen them carrying the live end across wet grass. I mentioned this in a previous video, it beggars belief. This year as we go away I am going to mention the EHC to the Sites in the hope they put up a sign or make a site rule. Thanks Phil👍🙂
Another very informative vlog Phil. The number of times I've seen the EHU cable still on the reel. Some respond well but in a few cases I have had "I've been caravanning for years and its never caught fire". No helping some people
Great tips there Phil. I have, several times pointed out cable left on the real is dangerous on sites. Most of the time you get a positive response! Cheers
Lots of good points 👍there Phill for all leisure vehicle owners. Must admit to clean the roof I’ve knelt up there near the edge after seeing the Bailey off Bristol advert with all the staff stood up there ! 🫣 All the best, Rob & Gail
I've used a pressure washer for the last 10 years on my van and had zero issues etc each year with servicing and damp proofing 🤷♂️ use em properly no issue
Hi Dave. I am guessing you are one of very few who know what you are doing. The reason we don't recommend pressure washers. It's for the reasons I gave. I have seen pressure washer damage and the insurance for the owner refused to pay out. Thanks for commenting. Phil 🙂👍
Thanks David. Yes once in a while things need to be mentioned there again will be a lot of New Comers to the hobby this year. Perhaps prevent bad habits forming. Thanks Phil👍🙂
Hi Phil, our microwave plate comes out when I remember and stays in when I don't, not had a problem yet LOL, as for the rest, totally agree with you. Keep safe Mark & Coral
Hi Phil. 100% agree with all your videos. We told 2 people about there leads and the same answers came forward. "It's easier to leave it wound up" 🫢 it's a nightmare convincing people most of what there doing is wrong. The older committee have a hard time changing there ways. Great video. Paul
Hi Paul & Sarah. I hope your recent holiday went well. Thanks for watching yes it does seem to be the seasoned Caravnners and those who are quite new as well. No matter how polite you explain things they will not have it maybe the sites should have a sign up! Thanks Phil.👍🙂
