I now have a CARAVELLE by BULOVA introduced c1962 - 32.8mm - self winding watch, it has a black dial, raised silver trainable makers, date function at ‘15’, silver numerals at ‘6’, ‘9’ and ‘12’, features a sweep second hand in silver, lume on the hands that’s original, although faded, dots on the outer dial every 5 minutes. Unsure whether the loomed hands were radium or not, as unable to make this out under the 6, It has a polished steel case, original glass crystal fitted, original crown, all original watch, screw on case back, with an original automatic movement that’s in amazing condition for its age.
THanks, I have a 1976 Caravella inhertied from my father. He had not worn it for years since the band broke. I was able to pick up a junk Soviet watch with the same metal strap and made it useable again. Keeps excellent time. I have been trying to figure out the model and this helped a lot (almost exactly the one at 8:03). I assume I have to take to back off to be sure.
Hey nice video. I bought a couple weeks ago a job lot of watches and there was a Caravelle set o matic watch, I thought it is junk cuz I never heard of that brand. I opened it and it’s an ETA 2873. thanks for your information about the brand 👍
