Continue postando. Grande abraço!!!
Great job Mr.Dan I am stoked to see you dive that deep. It was a very good way to work quickly with the power head. I saw another video that you posted about the same depth but you had some issues with that predator swimming around. Great video I hope you are safe. God bless you and Mr.Rick.
Nice Carbo! I’d hate to see what the deco time was. Thank God for power heads. I’d hate to try to wrestle that monster at 300’. Thanks for another great video.
He said once about a different dive he took around 300 feet that it cost him about $6 - $7 worth of Tri-mix to make one that deep . The grouper that he gets pays him around $5 - $6 a pound , and so even a 20 pound grouper would give him $100 minimum . You never know what will be there until you go , and sometimes there isn't squat worth taking . Other times you wish you had brought some friends along with you because most of the bigger ones will leave the area for awhile once the shooting starts .
They all have their area they will not let a threat get any closer before they move away . I suspect that since they mentioned this place was famous for having larger blacks that the diver chose to pass on that fish for fear he would have scared away anything really big if he had shot that 1st fish .
He sets in off Hudson most times he says , but the boat is on a trailer so anywhere off the west coast of Florida . His Commercial License is for the Gulf of Mexico , and most times he goes over 100 miles off-shore to get his fish .
He has said before that after any dive they make , no matter how far down , that the diver will always spend at least 2 - 3 hours with other divers taking their rotation turns before the same diver will go back down somewhere for another dive .
If I remember correctly, Dan and his crew dive a heliox mix so the effects of narcosis wouldn’t be as pronounced as diving regular air. Probably switch to nitrox mixes as they ascend to help blow off the helium and any nitrogen.
