The spoiler can be purchased at streetdrivenperformance.net and you can use code “savenowb” and get a discount! I don’t have a video on removing the front bumper, but it is pretty easy to. There is a hidden bolt on each side behind the wheel liner and remove the fasteners under the hood that hold it on and then it should come off. Also disconnect the fog lights and marker lights.
Love the look! just me personally i don’t like the double sided tape method especially if you live in Texas and it’s 100 degrees one day and rains the next. More chances of it getting dirt, chemical oils from detail products and water to eat up that tape over time. Nice video walkthrough tho!
He does not do front splitters yet, I have been asking. As soon as he does then I will buy one, will install it, and will do a video. Here is his website. streetdrivenperformance.net
Thanks for this man! I bought the wicker bill for my g8 a couple weeks ago and have been searching left and right and literally looking everywhere as you said for vids on removing the stock spoiler. The wicker bill I got is a direct bolt on, if I'm not mistaken, so a different install but I needed to someone other than a facebook owners advice on removing it!
From Vladi on Facebook or you can check out Streetdrivenperformance.com and see if they have them on the website yet. Tell them that you saw the spoiler here!
My car cam with it already on it. I’m guessing the 1st owner had it put on. I have never seen another with the same G8 side stripe so I left it on. Maybe it was custom made 🤷🏼♂️
Go on the G8 Facebook page and look up Eric Tau. He is the guy selling them on there. I show a picture of one of his ads in the Carbon Fiber Front Splitter video.
Are these the same as the ones Eric Tau is selling? I’m unfamiliar with the name Vladi but mine just came packaged exactly the same. You got an IG? Went to comment on your fb post but can’t find it now.
If these are the same that Eric Tau is selling, then him and Vladi would have to have the same supplier and I am not sure if that is the case or not. I’ll check my messages here shortly 👍
That was a great video tackling this job . Thanks to you and your video I’ll be doing mine tomorrow. What kind of tail lights are those. They look fantastic! Thanks for your knowledge and sharing it.
@@whiplashtv2022 I was successful in getting the spoiler removed today. Thanks again for a great video. Nice touch on the tail lights. How do you “smoke” the tail lights. Is that like a tint?
@@siimplytwinss3248 that is awesome that you were able to get it off. I should have added that an eraser wheel would be a big help in removing the old adhesive that was holding the spoiler on. I did not have an eraser wheel at the time of shooting the video. I bought these tail lights done this way already. There is companies that make a smoke film that you can put on your tail lights, or you can have them professionally done by a painter.
It isn’t listed online so I can’t get you a link unfortunately. Eric Tau or Vladi can help you on the “Pontiac G8” Facebook pages. Let them know that you saw it on Whiplash TV!
@lunitunz ok, your orginal comment said “jobs” but I figured that you meant “holes”. No, they don’t have to be filled in because the 3m tape seals around the outside of them. I don’t get any water into the trunk.
Nah, I’ll pass. I like the clean look of not a lot of emblems, and Pontiac is my favorite brand and I’m super sad that GM stopped making them. I know it is “Holden” at it’s roots though.
I like your style. Go nice and slow and line it up just right. I think it diffidently improved the looks. You can really see how much it come up off the trunk from the side shot. I’m also not a big fan of the tape but if it failed I’m sure you would have mentioned it. All around nice job!
