I absolutely love your content and what you are doing!! I am actually currently working on my own Subaru brat and I am constantly using your videos for references and to get inspiration for my own build. I am currently getting ready to do fender flares and I was wondering if you have any suggestions and what fenders you had pre Widebody. I would love to do a widebody like how you are doing it right now but it's a little out of my skillset.😅 Anyways thanks again and keep grinding on the Brat. It's looking really good!! (also missing trim around the bed of the brat, got any suggestions for an alternative?)
Hey man. Thanks for the kind words! My old set up was just generic eBay fender flares, super easy to do and changes the vibe of the car completely…definitely a good intro to body mods. The trim on the other hand is tricky, they are hard to come by in good condition and I don’t have an alternative unfortunately. Good luck with the build dude!
Not enough RU-vid channels like this. I'm far more interested in body styling than tuning. Be nice to see both Brat and SVX finished. Did you get the side skirts on the SVX?
Me too! Also, I never thought I'd see the day where I would see someone talk about wanting to see styling over tuning! There are about a million channels where I can see people making 3 trillion horsepower, Octa-turbo, ZOMG Supra/GTR/etc. but there's hardly any about people designing their own exterior styling mods.
Thanks dude! I’m definitely an aesthetics guy first. Way more time and consideration goes into looks than people think. Now that I’ve got my paint system I can get the SVX skirts finished and painted. Both the cars will be out of the garage when the brat is painted for a quick walk around ☺️
Wow, I love how the whole kit is polygonal, almost like origami. Would be nice if you added a little 3d depth to that side skirt though. What about that foam you used to sculpt the plug for the fenders? Add some of that on top and sculpt a nice triangle/wedge type shape on top of the base which you have now. Or even just having a short edging along the whole skirt which is riveted on with a little "kick up" at the end. Something so that it doesn't just disappear when the car is viewed from a side profile.
Thanks man! Glad you like it! I understand where you’re coming from….but I’m trying to keep it as minimal as possible if you know what I mean? I may ‘thicken’ up the skirts in the future, but not by much.
@@BuildCreate Yeah man totally! Excited to see how it turns out. A lot of the stuff techniques you've used on the Brat are what I am aiming to learn for my next project. I want to learn carbon fibre skinning, making carbon fibre replica parts and crafting my own overfenders/bodykits.
