When I use my ultrasonic cleaner I try and use boiling water from the kettle to assist with the temperature. I also soak for a while to loosen the gunk of then agitate with a toothbrush or other small parts brush. My detergent of choice is Screwfix degreaser cheap as chips.
I suppose that it would really depend on the cleaning solution that you use. In most instances i would replace all o-rings anyway for new ones whilst it is apart! 👍🤓
Great video as usual. Quite incredible how cheap you can get an Ultrasonic unit now. I've used them when working in an electroplating shop and they were insanely expensive to buy and not very reliable. Hopefully, this unit will be reliable, please do let us know how you get on with it in the future.
Nah, paraffin wash is way better, carbs would of been done in 10 minutes and never of needed another wash. Ultrasonic cleaners are a lazy gimmick and only really good for jewellery, not greasy engine parts. Put some effort in and do it properly 🙄
@@KevsShed alright Kev I'm just wondering how much it would cost to get my carbs cleaned on zx6r 96 I've just had a quote from a garage near mine for £400 does that sound about right cheers?
