I’ve got some pretty questionable NM cards from them as of late… I’ve done 50k in trades with them in the last year or so and their customer service and grading has gone down for sure. When I brought this up with them they basically said oh well send it back and we will refund the money. Which would be a multi-week process at this point. They know what they’re doing as far as screwing over their long term customers.
This is fairly alarming, and I have to say I agree. I for a "NM" card from them recently and I felt the same. Let's hope it's a hiccup. I am a CK fan still.
Figured id give them a shot after years with tcgplayer. Made 2 orders. Some borderless foils from lost caverns of ixalan and an og foil phyrexian obliterator from New phyrexia. Both orders showed up moderately played. Never ordering from them again.
@@BDCMattto be fair, prior to the last 6 months they were my favorite place to buy/sell cards. They historically give considerably more in trade than other companies and they used to have a better selection of high end/hard to find cards in-stock. Once the market picks back up I’ll give them a shot again. But they did kind of screw me out of roughly $1000 on our last transaction.
They are being brought off the sell lists since the demand goes down a LOT when the economy is bad. Turns out feeding yourself, clothing yourself, housing yourself is a much bigger thing than purchasing rectangular cardboard pieces. They also get out of these high cost pieces since they don't flip well during this time and you can lose a lot of money trying to flip them. This guy talking about any demand for these pieces is trying to push up the price of his rectangles.
@@MadMagicShow Glad to know you know nothing of economics then. What I am saying is reality. When the money is drained from the buyers which happens in these times the prices for the goods go down. People don't want to sell for the lower prices so they take those higher ticket items off the market unless they are in need to selling for the basics of living. This is the supply/demand part of economics.
The opportunity cost in this jacked interest rate environment is likely causing this. It's more beneficial for a card kingdom to move newer cheaper singles than tie their capital into fewer 5 figure cards. They would be able to turn new inventory multiple times before making a sale on 1 vintage high end piece. I agree with your thesis that no buy list eventually leads to inventory squeezes if demand is held constant or increases. The buy list reprice becomes the new public floor, until then we are in accumulation. Thank you for the political trickery spec that is not staying at $3.75
Good point. Totally agree with you. Not much sense in holding risky assets when you get 5-7 percent on CDs. Buy magic certainly outperorms those returns if approached correctly. Although the responsible thing to fo is 401/REITs/bonds/precious metals and bitovin/ and 1-3 percent alternative assets
I sold a bunch to tcg player, they just downshift all your cards to half the price even when your already selling to a lower buylist offer. They take your mint cards and fucking downshift them. Seriously had cards sitting in a bunder from the oack that they downshifted. Fuck tcgplayer annd cardkingdom. They just turn around and sell the shit for 75% what they gave you.
I will say the most competitive buylist is definitely card kingdom, and its convenient to use if you’re doing mass box openings or flipping collections. However, i have litetally sent in pack fresh cards from pre-cons i purchased at a steep discount, and they dinged the condition of cards that were 100 percent, undoubtedly mint cards, thus downgrading the payout. I think at that time, it was more of the quality of employees sorting during that time period. Overall, Ive been satisfied with card kingdom, especially when purchasing cards advertised as mint.
@@MadMagicShow sorry if my comment comes off strong but even selling to any buy list and then have them downgrade and then mess with your percentage of your seller status is just infuriating. I sent in a 1000 dollar buy list just to have them downshift it to seven hundred. Foil urzas sagas, foil esper sentinels, all were put in sleeves and never played just sat in my binder. Nope they aren't near mint. It's a joke. Fucked me out of 300 dollars. Not to mention the cards would normally be sold at twice what I sent in to a buy list. Why is it the cards are worth a certain price but yet they don't have to buy them at what they sell them for! It's a false economy with scam hustlers of cardboard. If I were to buy the same cards back it would be three grand.
To be clear, card kingdom is in no way “crumbling.” We believe pulling key cards from their buylist out of fear for the direction of general market movements will resilt in similar bullishness as in 2020-2021 when the same thing rook place.
@@MadMagicShow To be clear, the current product is so cheap and flimsy, you will be lucky if the cards don't deteriorate in the sleeves ten years from now. Everyone knows these are junk grade cards designed and playtested by AI. Literally vomiting cards out at an unprecedented rate while NOT bringing in new players aside from, maybe, a few crossover supergeeks. You really think all this watering down and dumbing down of the product is a good sign? Just curious.
As a player, proxies are great. As collectors, we try to relay the best times to buy low and sell high to our audience, and we believe the lack of stock depth at card kingdom is indicative of a soon-to-be bullisb market
Yeah, I suspect she's gonna have a lot more to say in future videos as well. She's just beginning to find her "voice". Don't think I'll be able to un-ring this bell
Hey brother, appreciate you giving the channel a chance. Hope you can find a safe space where you don’t feel threatened. Lilly says she prefers strong men; she’s ok with the break up.
