I’m easing my way into the paper crafting world and found myself overwhelmed with all the stamps, ink, brushes that comes along with this hobby. After watching this video I realized I have everything. Thank you for the help!
I’ve watched TONS of card making videos, and yours is definitely a top ten. Readily accessible supplies, great examples, especially showing how much difference a little foam tape can make!
I’m so glad you did this now I can get started with all the paper pads I have been holding on too. I’ll be waiting for the next one, also. Your such a gem and your card marking is superb. TFS!!😃👍🏽
Thank you very much for this video. You are an excellent teacher, especially for beginners like myself. Your attention to detail is very good, especially for beginners. I also like how you explain co-ordinating papers and putting light, dark and textured papers together. Your voice is lovely to listen to and you pace everything very well, which makes it easy to understand. The only thought I have, is, buying materials from USA/CANADA (I live in the UK) carries hefty postage, which sometimes outweighs the cost of the materials, so I am unable to buy them. Thank you again. Jo x
This is such a good demonstration. Thank you! The mounting tape makes a huge difference. I’m happy to see how accessible these items are too. I want to make beautiful cards, but I’m not ready to spend hundreds on supplies. This is just right and very exciting to me. Thank you so much for the information.
Omg, thank you! I’ve been watching sooooo many videos on how I can start making cards but none of the videos I found show the card base part, also the putting together part too. Now I can make my mother and MIL Mother’s Day cards finally…..thank you, this is awesome!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'm very new to cardmaking but obsessed with paper lol I was so confused when it came to ink pads, blending, stamps etc I still am not sure lol but at least I know how to get started before I decide if I want to jump into all that❤
Just have to say thank you for your pleasant voice, wonderful instruction & practical info that make this beginner feel like I can DO this! (I love quilting too, so I loved that reference) and just sayin, you nails MADE the video! 💅🏻 haha GORGEOUS color, added the “polish.” No pun intended 😂💞
Thank you so very much. I'm a beginner in cardmaking and also have a few 'challenges', like shaky hands, to contend with. I really appreciate seeing the cheaper tools and supplies because I have a very limited budget when it comes to crafting. I was pleasantly surprised to see the foam tape from Dollar Tree. I was planning on buying a very large roll of foam tape that wasn't pre-cut, but this looks easier for me to handle and it actually works out cheaper than the large roll.
Hello! I did sub, this is my first time viewing your video! I’ve been doing cards for two years now! I’m 76 years old and enjoy making cards!! It can be costly but since I don’t drive anymore, It just means I can now make a card and not have to go to the store! I appreciate your video and anyone can always use a little more help!! Right. Thank you for sharing!
Hi, I am just starting out in card making and as you said it was where do I start, now I know. Thank you very much for sharing. You have a new sub. Love from the UK
Jen, great learning video. I have used the foam tape on a few of my cards but I never go to the Dollar stores, so I think I am going to go and check out the tape you bought.
When I started everyone said get punches. Then it was dies Then it was infinity dies. Then stamps dies and expensive markers and pencils. I've learned the hard way that a score board, infinity dies round, square and rectangles. I love embossing folders because they are cheap and versatile. Stamps are great but be very picky. Anyway I appreciate that you are teaching that following every trend is super expensive and I have boxes of things I never use.
Excellent tutorial! Finally a card making video that doesn't involve the stamping, embossing, die cutting, etc. All of those features are nice but I am considering card making and this video is PERFECT for beginners. And I already have the majority of the supplies u used. I can't wait to start. TYFS and for the inspiration (I am subscribing to your channel). Happy holidays! 😊😊😊
Thank you, I have been scrapbooking for nearly a year, love it. But now I want to make cards which I really enjoy but I had no idea how to start my first card looked like a 3yo did it. LOL. Jumped on u tube found you're session. I am off and running. Thank you. I will keep looking on u tube for more learning. Have a great Xmas
Thank you so much for this! Could you add more info on how to size layers? Maybe I’m over thinking but seems there could be a formula for that. Looking forward to more!
I started making cards all WRONG and most of them looked like a child made them-ugh! Thank you for making this very informative video and a big thanks on where you can purchase these things.
This paper pad is beautiful. I use the beacon 3 in 1 glue all the time. Somehow I felt like the middle layer was too small for the large base layer, it was almost the same size as the top layer. Very pretty though
This is a good demonstration. What would help tremendously is to know the measurements of ALL the papers that are used to build the layers. I’m sending this message before completing the video or reading all of the comments section so I apologize if you’ve already supplied that info. If not - it’s needed 😊
You're a fantastic teacher! Very thorough in explaining details and so easy to understand. Thank you for taking time to share your talent and skill! God Bless You!! ✝️🕊️
I love that you did this with simple, readily available supplies, and I love that you used the paper pad I just purchased! 🥰 I do have a question though, when the card front is layered and built up it seems to make the card back piece thin/flimsy by comparison. Can we add a layer inside or would that not look right? Thanks so much, subscribing! 🥰
Hi Trish! Yes you can absolutely add more to the inside. Just keep in mind that you may need another stamp if it’s over an ounce. I’m not great at decorating the inside of cards but I love when other people do it! TFW xo Jen
Hi Jen! I love the cards that you made! Can you please tell me the measurements for your cut apart and the paper behind it that you used on your card? Thanks so much!
Thank you! Sometimes yes you need to add an extra stamp. Depends on thickness, weight and size. Sometimes I’ll throw on an extra stamp if I’m not sure. TFW xo Jen
