This is my only all-time favorite moment of Card Sharks 1986. Hearing the WHOOPing sounds of victory after someone winning the car drowns out the sounds of an otherwise depressing theme song.
Makes perfect sense to me. I wasn't aware that the 80's version of 'Card Sharks' aired on both CBS and in syndication at the same time until now. Thnaks!
Has anyone ever seen the current version of card sharks with Joel Mchale as host on channel 4(abc). I think that the current version of card sharks is just as exciting and hilarious as the original series from the 70s & 80s. Bryce Garrett.
If I were to arrange my favorite hosts form most to least, #1 is Bob Euebanks, #2 is Jim Perry "R.I.P." #3 is Bill Rafferty "R.I.P." and #4 "aka the worst" is Pat Bullard.
@billa107 I'm with you, Bill Rafferty was better than Bob Eubanks I mean, Bob was great on The Newlywed Game, but Card Sharks wasn't his cup of tea, IMO But Jim Perry will always be the master and so, my favorites are Hands Down Jim Perry and Bill Rafferty
The only bad and forgettable host of Card Sharks was Pat Bullard. The other four men (Jim Perry, Bob Eubanks, Bill Rafferty and Joel McHale) did an outstanding job hosting the show.
What's the music cue that they used here when they described the car? They use it on TPIR all the time and it's the only one that I can't find on RU-vid so far.
Before she realizes she chose the correct card, she is asked why she chose the #2 card. She replies, “I just HAD a funny feeling.” Why wouldn’t she say, “I just HAVE a funny feeling.”? Did she know the outcome and it was a slip of the tongue?
I always liked this part of the game; Rafferty or Eubanks for a car (or Hawaii for kids). And I always make that famous cry John Davidson & Betty White would say... "On the count of 3. 1-2-3!"
