Dawson thanks for the video! Do you think the native coins will move faster than Ada? Shouldn’t we hold in Ada because maybe Ada will move significant in price before meme coins? Obviously NFA but what do you think?
I think ADA could make a move before natives sure but based on the charts I’m seeing I like being in natives at these prices. ADA will probably make a quick first move though late this year, and then the ecosystem will be quick to follow
Good video and solid analysis. I agree on the overall thesis, I just disagree on the lenfi choice. A few things about that: - LENFI and LQ FDVs are almost the same, both around 50M ADA, INDY a bit more at 64M ADA rn. Not true that lq and indy have much higher valuations. - Lenfi is a p2p lending protocol. Not really comparable to aave or liqwid, which are pooled. It has pooled p2p, but still the UX kinda sucks, it's not capital efficient and it's not scalable because of the way it's built. Sure maybe they can have pooled lending with v3 but they'll still be way behind the competition. Way risky to bet only on that one instead of liqwid imo. - It's true LQ had a lot of emissions in the past but they were lowered a lot recently since they reduced the protocol incentives (and TVL didn't decrease significantly) and the high staking rewards. I think LQ inflation is around 5% per year now. - INDY shouldn't be compared to lenfi or lq, apples and oranges. IMO it should have its own analysis and be compared to something like synthetix or maker. - Lenfi had the run up it did last year mainly because of leverage, since they could use their own token as collateral for ada loans. That's why I wouldn't just rely on "well it went up a lot on 2023". Just my 2 ada.
Hey I appreciate the good comment and discussion. You make great points. I think I would be interested in taking an LQ position if more of the chart fundamentals showed previous success. I will keep watching the protocol!
hey Dawson, love your content. I have a couple of questions that I didn't get a clear answer for in your video. How does the increase in IAG price effect the conversion between IAG and ADA. If you believe IAG can atleast 40x in the peak of this bull run, does that mean that the amount of ADA that I can expect to get in the future will also 40x, when I swap back my IAG for ADA? For example, I swapped about 2000 ADA for IAG, when IAG was at $.06 (or .19 ADA). If IAG reached $2.40 (40x from the price that I bought), can I expect to get 80K ADA?
I’m not sure if your math is correct but yes, you buy into defi tokens because they gain more than ADA. I run my trades against the ADA pair, so when I look at charts and say a token can 100X I typically mean it can 10X against the ADA pair and 100X against the $. If IAG were to 10X against ADA, you could convert 1k ADA into IAG today and convert that IAG back to ADA later for 10k ADA
@@dawsonallen thank you for your reply. I bought into IAG after I saw your video and did some research. I feel good about it. My thinking is, If IAG goes to $4, that will be a 60x against the $ (based on current price of around $.06). Btw, I think IAG can probably 50X, given that at the height of the last bull run, Filecoin was at $200, and Filecoin actually has a higher total supply than IAG (2 billion Filecoin vs 1 billion IAG) But I’m not sure how the conversion rate between IAG and ADA is effected by the price appreciation. There must be something I’m not getting. Currently one IAG is equivalent to .19 ADA. It would be great if you could do a video that walks us through hypothetical situations of how and when IAG can 5X 10X or 15X against ADA, with future expected price appreciation for both tokens
ADA will most likely pump first but I would not wait until ATH to buy natives. Some natives will run at the same time as ADA and some will have a slight delay
Great video Dawson. I'm excited about $HUNT's perpetual futures market and think that it could be a major catalyst towards upwards price movement. One comment I have in regards to your statement of trading at a multiple of TVL is that it should be based on the revenue of the protocol, not TVL. They are obviously related but revenue will always be a small fraction of the TVL. If Lenfi is able to earn 2% per year on it's TVL then I could possibly justify it trading at 30-60% of TVL. Let me know your thoughts.
@@underhashed I think you’re exactly right actually. Off the cuff the TVL multiple sounded like a grand idea but the more I thought about it your idea of revenue makes more sense. It’s gotta be either revenue or something alongside cash on hand for the company.
Niek, je koopt Ada op Bitvavo-----Die Ada verzend je naar Vespr Wallet----In jouw Vespr Wallet swap je Ada naar Lenfi, IAG of Hunt. Dus eerst Vespr Wallet installeren!
You would have to connect your ledger to a browser wallet on Cardano like Eternl. You can then trade and buy tokens on a DEX like DexHunter, Minswap, muesliswap
@@dawsonallen I bought tokens Eternl connected to my ledger. My Eternl wallet shows my tokens holdings but my ledger doesn't show the tokens. Do people normally use hardware wallet for cardano tokens? Surprised to see lack of support.
Just yolo it all into MELD. It will either 100x or go to zero. MELD is releasing lending and borrowing shortly. Or go to Vegas and put it all on black. 😂
never up $1????? Have you not looked at the chart since you sold 4 years ago? Looks like you sold right before it shot to $3..... Gotta know the 4 years cycle.
@@dawsonallen Ada has been performing pretty poorly that's why seems like we might not hit ATH, time will tell but if by December we are not above 1$ i might start to worry.
@@dawsonallen i don't see ada pumping to ATH in one month, it's too much so it better start getting some traction to the upside! Best wishes to everyone invested in Ada, I'm proud owner of pretty nice bags!
