It DIDN'T happen and still ain't happen and you can see that Cardi is little frustrated by that . 2. I May not be a fan of her , but Nicki worked to be a where she's at in rap. Cardi b stumbled into it and was given Ghost writers.
My take is I could care less about ghostwriters. We got Jay Z who says a big bar damn near ever other song in his catalog, most of every artist collabs with each other in some form(whether a friend in the studio suggesting a bar here or there, or someone literally suggesting rearranging of bars to make Ethel hit harder, or like post Malone how Joey Badass helped write it), Kanye employing tons of rappers for song ideas and verses in full, and how the spoken verses in hiphop was birth thru collaboration lyrically speaking. Point I’m making is we know some bars Cardi writes herself in conjunction with additional writers. Hell even Ross has claimed to have written Travis Scott songs. It’s part of the game and the sooner yall accept that the better off music will be. How is this the only part of music that seems to have some grudge where song writers get paid for not being the face of the song? It’s dumb and people need a reality check asap. Half the songs. Even Nicki has songs Safaree wrote or helped her write on one of her biggest albums (Pink Friday). Katy Perry also wrote a song for Nicki. We know all these people can write songs for themselves but the best products are collaborative bodies of work. It keeps the music from sounding the same and expands the artists sound. You can be genius level in music and still need ideas, lyrics to connect the motif of the song, cadence, etc. there’s a reason some artists go 4+ years without new works aside from features. And that inspiration and a concepts. You gone get tired of my pussy wet and I was moving them packs by the quarter key. Don’t get me wrong it’s impressive when artists do it themselves still the same but it’s not always going to be the best product in the end. Genre after genre has shown us this. Be it rock, blues, jazz, country etc. your first point is good tho and I agree with your sentiment there. But the 2nd point is misguided. Hell even engineers throw lines and candences at rappers. I’ve watched Producers lay out suggestions and r&b artist go in and execute said plan, and make what would have been bronze a polished diamond.
The reality of the situation is this: She was propped up by this industry in such a major way when she came out, all the paid awards, media coverage and bot streams... then she went to negotiate her contract and her record label had to let her know what this business really is about. So now she can't cope because she is realizing how much she was used and what the business really is. Much of her accolades were bought by her label and now she feels betrayed by EVERYONE. That's why she hates her fans, because they don't really support her. That's why she hates those media personalities because they are no longer being paid to say good things about her. That's why a lot of her singles "flopped" because they aren't paying for the streams anymore. They set her up bad and she is slowly seeing that.

Due to work I am able to attend a lot of concerts. Crazy how almost every year I see Vince Staples, Tyler the Creator, Nicki Minaj, and list goes on. I swear in hip hop Nicki is the one of one to be a regular global touring act. Let me use a artist not in hip hop proper for example. Tinashe is a phenomenal artist and has a tremendous amount of professionalism towards her art, both vocally and dance as well. Chris Brown also does this. You can't fake effort. You know how you can tell that someone isn’t a writer? They can’t handle even the smallest criticism. Real writers are also editors. We need feedback in order to do our work and evolve. People who can’t write but want to identify as writers/rappers just want it for the ego and the clout. They don’t understand what it takes to actually do it forreal. Cardi is a prime example.
The TRUE reason why Cardi won’t drop this second album is because she’s already PEAKED far too soon. She had nothing else to chase or pursue especially with that stolen/given/payola Grammy.
