They were the worst because like the Wayans said people tried to copy their scary movie / white chicks formula and it failed on every other attempt which is CORRECT they were bad films.. crazy how we get on the internet and spread false information.

Secretary: "Marlon Wayans is here, he wants to pitch an idea for a---" Executive jumps over his desk, tramples his secretary and runs like a madman to Marlon. Then he puts him under an arm and takes him back to his office and sits him on his chair, "Give it to me, baby, tell me what you got for daddy," he tells Marlon while writing two blank checks. After the Wayans this is the only sane attitude.

I saw it opening weekend in 2000, the crowd had the theatre's "shaking" with yelling and laughter, it was a new experience, cutting edge. I haven't experienced that feeling since...24 years later....

I agree with Marlon that 3 worked because it had the DNA of the wayans movie (25% wayans, 50% zaz, 24% fake wayans,1% kevin smith/carlin) then the movies after sucked because it was just 50% fake wayans nonsense for both 4 and 5. Scary movie was a good, even great trilogy but even back in 2006 it really showed the limitations when it's not done by people that understand the first movie.
