their story was so “right person wrong time” it makes me bawl my eyes out. i think deep down rory loved jess the most but even as a jess girl ik jess was wrong at times and it was mostly because of his life. i’ll always be team jess tho

The editing of every single time Jess showed up and "came back" to her.... broke me

The song fits Jess's perspective so well like how the whole town was against him but Rory wasn't ("and when I felt like I was an old cardigan, you put me on and said I was your favorite"). Also, the scene parallels to the lyrics were perfectly put together such as "steppin' on the last train" when Jess leaves town on the bus, "I knew you'd haunt all of my what-ifs" when Rory talks about the hundreds of scenarios she thought of if she ever met Jess again, "chasin' shadows in the grocery line" when she sees him at the grocery store, and "you'd be standin' in my front porch light" with the scenes at her front door. How did you even remember/find the exact scenes for the lyrics?!?! Your mind is too powerful.

I don't ship Rory and Dean at all, but the absolute dejection in his voice when he admits Rory likes Jess is just so dang sad.

They should have been endgame they were meant for eachother. Jess could relate to her on a level that no one else could. He was upfront but he loved Rory so much.

I miss the Rory before college . The time she was with Jess. He grew because of her. Maybe he never stopped loving her. Maybe the show will return with some closure for them. " It is what it is."

I love the growth and development of Jess across the show, especially after the ending of the four seasons, he's going to be to rory what luke was to lorelay, it's so beautiful ❤️.

Why do I feel like Rory is actually James in this story

My favorite jess moment is when he tells her she have to get back to Yale because she's got so much potential and she has to pursue her dreams.

her being with jess was literally the best part of the whole series, i didn't really care about her other relationships besides her and dean's first kiss

Imagine if she went with Jess when he came to Yale instead of going off with married dean. I think she always loved Jess but was scared of him hurting her. She kissed Jess when she was in a relationship with both dean and Logan but she never cheated when she was with Jess.

She treated Dean like shit trying to bury her feelings, but at the same time, Dean should've had the sense to stop being so pathetic and just broke it off. You knew she wasn't in love with you anymore, you knew she was interested in someone else, but you clung to her for dear life. You should've brought it up or called her out in private, not in front of the whole town. Plus, Rory and Dean literally had no chemistry, as opposed to Jess and Rory. While rewatching the series, while everyone was leaving the inn after the Bracebridge dinner, they locked eyes and I swear to god someone should've walked in between them and dangled a pair of hotel keys. You could've cut the sexual tension with a knife.

Rory and Jess were good together, especially after they grew up. At the beginning Jess had to many things going on and stuff to sort out, but after he matured they would be the best relationship.
