Very underrated album, really nice summer jazz feel all the way through, the drumming and guitar work all through is great. Their cover of Sabbath bloody Sabbath is unreal, ends on disco, one of my favourite covers. They are Swedish if you were wondering.

I second all of the above. This is what happens when metal-crazy Swedes do a faux easy-listening record in the height of britpop. Brilliant. "Carnival" remains a stunning single, Smiths-in-reverse type story of longing and unrequited love/lust by the merry-go-round. Oh, Nina!

This Cardigans tune gave me serious cocktail vibes reminiscent of the 90's American Neo-Lounge Band "Combustible Edison". Their discs "I Swinger" and "Schizophonic" were a mainstay on any cocktail Maven's rotating background tunes. Very 50-60's downlow vibe.Love it.

I believe the bassist and guitarists were in swedish death metal bands in the late 80's/early 90's before doing a 180 and creating the Cardigans but that explains their affinity for Sabbath covers 👹

one of my favorite bands of all time 😌 nina isn't necessarily the most technically advanced singer but her voice is instantly recognizable which i think is so cool! their guitarist, peter, wrote most of the music. their early lyrics were mainly by their bassist, magnus, but then nina took over that role. peter has written a bunch for other artists too, the weeknd and ariana grande for example

Nina Persson's voice is ultra light, but The Cardigans do have some interesting song structures. Also check out the song, "Carnival". I only knew my favorite game..very interesting group. Only the singer's tatoos disturb me a bit. So everyone you must protect yourself anyway. The Uncle meat story is real. Anton levy was that uncle meat.So may the Lord of lords protect us all. Hum....sorry for that comment
