Cardinal Tagle was invited to celebrate the Eucharist during our Parish fiesta in 2012. I was the Hermana Mayor. He was all smiles when I greeted him. After the celebration, we had our picture taken for posterity. The year after he was again invited to celebrate the Eucharist. When he saw me, he said "nagkita muli tayo." with a big smile on his face. He is such a humble and down-to-earth cardinal.
When I was quarantined and worrying about Dad's failing health, I listen to Cardinal Tagle and got a miracle as I pray for Dad's health. It was a miracle. Cardinal Tagle is so inspiring.
For me as catholic from the Philippines only God knows who will be the next Pope.but I prayed for him to the Lord that he will guide his journey to continue serve people and serve God our creator as well
He is also a Chinese blood, imagine those millions of Chinese people celebrating too, and not to mention they are becoming a Christian country now. He could be the key for bridging China into Christianity. The entire of Asia would be very happy.
I am very devoted Catholic from the Philippines l pray for cardinal Antonio Luis Tagle only God knows who will be the next Pope l prayed for him to the lord that he will guide his journey to continue serve people and serve God Amen
I don't know God's plan but I read from an article that Card.Tagle is a combination of four Popes: he has the smile of JPI, the charisma of JPII, the theological mind of Benedict XVI and the pastoral heart (mingling with people) of Pope Francis.
i would say just a buffoon. He is totall bologna school. Flakey and full of hocus pocus. Has he ever encouraged filipino to read their catechism. Has he ever defended the catholic moral teaching?
@@Hteyweitz has he even put out his neck a little tiny bit for the martyr church in China where catholics are being criminalised with Francis agreement? Has he ever invited Cardinal Zen, his supposed brother in the faith- lent support for the crisis in China. Has he ever spoken on the crisis in his own diocese- where 10 million have ceased in the practice of his faith UNDER his watch. Has he ever apologised for promotion of "gay LGBT "masses" in his diocese--whilst heavily clamping down on the ancient and beautiful tridentine mass?
I remember back in 2013, he was interviewed in the local news here in the Philippines. He was asked if he wanted to be the pope or was expecting to be the next pope (something along those lines). He said he didn't come to the conclave expecting to be the next pope. He said "I only came to vote". I think that speaks of his character and humility.
I’m from SD California but I’m a pilipino immigrant USA citizen and follow Cardinal Tagle and very impressive and no one can compete on his biology wc very humble. I read this book I love him as our Cardinal to be replaced Pope Francis, thank you I did share his manifesto on my prayer group and they can share to All Philippines relatives and friends. thank you so much for your support he is the one who you pik to be our Pope 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇺🇸🇺🇸
Politicians in the Philippines doesn't like him but Cardinal Tagle is a strong and tough, outspoken Bishop. Thank you and good luck to Cardinal Tagle. Praying for Pope Francis good health and long life.
@@ayietan8223 Cardinal Sin, the Tsekwa? He conspired with other groups to oust two legitimate presidents, Marcos and Erap. However, he was quiet and no complaint wth Gloria Arroyo who not only cheated in election but involved in that famous ZTE deal scandal.
I was assistant parish priest in Las Piñas (also entrusted to the Scheut missionaries like Parañaque ), and met the bishop of Imus (Felix Perez), a bishop with his heart in vatican II like few bishops in the Philippines, on a regular base during the time that Chito Tagle was acknowledged by his bishop as an exceptional gifted seminarian and priest. The bishop (living in the province of Cavite) had a very poor telephone connection with Manila, and crossed the boundary to make his phone calls in our parish, which was the first municipality being part of the Manila Area. Chito was a name the bishop dropped regularly. He knew that Chito was prepared for greater things. , and he looked for a place for Chito to take up further stuties. He had sent letters to three universities (none in Rome) , (Louvain was also among them, and Paris), and the first one to respond and would offer a scholarship, could get him (and hit the jack pot): the Catholic University of America. It is rather strange that the name of his bishop (Felix Perez) is nowhere mentioned. He was an exceptional person. When the nuntius informed him (he was chaplain at the University of the Philippines - the state university) about his appointment, he informed the nuntius that he declined, because he did not agree with the Encyclical "Humanae vitae" of Pope Paul VI which then had been published. The answer of the nuntius was: If they ask you if you accept the teaching of the encyclical, you say YES, because we need some bishops like you who disagree.
Whoever the man appointed by the Holy Spirit to be a successor of Peter. I am praying for that leader of the Catholic Church. I hope we can get a leader who is more conservative and will bring back the Latin Mass throughout the world. 🙏🙏🙏I am originally from the Philippines and live in the US.
We are very very happy if Cardinal Tagle will be the next Pope, so proud of all Filipino''s, that he will be the first Filipino to become the Leader of Roman Catholic Church in all Nations. Hoping, God will abide on him. More Power & God Bless Cardinal Tagle.
I like the teachings of cardinal luis antonio tagle..watching him on youtube on his show "the word exposed" i almost share it with my brothers and sisters at our prayer meetings every sunday
Thank you so much for this important information. Yes, I know very well Cardinal Tagle. In person I could see this holy aura projecting from him. Very simple and humble, childlike and full of patience and wisdom. I attended his retreat one advent and it was very good experience. I am a Filipino hermit. Prayers offered for him.
@@user-cx6vm6bg3e It's not my job to explain and prove it. If you're his follower, you'd know that it was reported in the media that;s why the Pope removed Tagle from his position. Back check it.
Cardinal Tagle. The Liberals in the Church will be surprised how conservative he will be. The Philippines is very traditional and conservative theologically and liturgically. On the other hand the die-hard Tradies will disagree with him. Due to his long pastoral works he knows we are not living in an ideal world but a real world. Plus coming from the Philippines where overly extensive families are the norm, you are bound to have somebody you love with these "issues". You treat them with kindness not kick them out of the family. Let's see how the Spirit moves.
Catholic means universal so how can be something universal if it is not inclusive. Like in education, the Roman Catholic Church must also uphold inclusivity bringing down exclusivity.
I personally meet Cardinal. Tagle in Quebec ,Canada, speaker of The Holy Eucharistic Intetnational congress during the international Eucharistic held in Quebec in Canada and more peoples appreciated Him the younger Cardinal , gorgoeus speaker the way he talked alone...
Coming from a highly politicalized archdiocese of Manila, Cardinal Tagle's time as head of the nation's most populous city, he quietly steered the church in the right direction without much noise from all sides, the reason why he is much loved by the flock
I saw and watched his preachings on you tube , he is very good in his preaching and has a good sense of humor . I am praying 🙏 that God will open the door for his next Holy Pope 🙏
Dear Decrevi please address the following St. John Paul II In Familiaris Consortio: "divorced and remarried cannot receive communion as “their state and condition of life objectively contradict that union of love between Christ and the Church which is signified and effected by the Eucharist." St John Paul means a definite NO. Simple. Cardinal Tagle: “Every situation for those who are divorced and remarried is quite unique. To have a general rule might be counterproductive in the end. My position at the moment is to ask, ‘Can we take every case seriously and is there, in the tradition of the Church, paths towards addressing each case individually?’ This is one issue that I hope people will appreciate is not easy to say ‘no’ or to say ‘yes’ to. We cannot give one formula for all.” ( from Catholic Herald article, "Cardinal Tagle: There is no ‘formula for all’ on Communion for the divorced and re-married") ... just like the German bishops. Cardinal Tagle means YES.
As the saying goes: "He who walks into a conclave as Pope walks out a Cardinal." Anyone who studies the history of papal conclaves will see that they can be very unpredictable. I recommend reading Charles Coulombe's "Vicars of Christ." As for Cardinal Tagle, this talk makes me want to take another look at him.
@@m-hayek1985 those who say that Card.Tagle is liberal don't follow his preachings. He said we can't convert sinners if we hate them, if we use harsh words, we can only convert them if we love them
I hope Cardinal Tagle would become the next Pope and pursue our priests, missionaries, lay people especially the CFD (Catholic Faith Defenders) worldwide to preach the Gospel on a daily basis - to combat heretics and open the hearts of the lost sheep (Protestants, Christian Orthodox, Muslims). Hopefully one day we could unite in one flock (Roman Catholic Church) of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is I pray to our Lord and Saviour, may God bless us all Amen.
Let the Holy Spirit guide. No criticism nor accolade can hinder the light and truth of the wisdom of the Holy Spirit . Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of the faithful and rekindle in them the fire of your love: may the hearts be filled with fire for truth that your faithful be ever wise and rejoice in your consolation. Amen
As the only Asian nation that is predominantly Catholic, I believe that the Philippines has curated Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle to be the warmhearted and enduring Filipino Catholic leader fit to be the future Holy Father or as an ordinary Holy See official.
@@tabstabs4855- In terms of percentage( population to Catholics). The Philippines has 110 Million Filipinos and 90% are Catholics. Timor Leste has just a small population (compared to the Philippines ) and so , more than 90 % are Catholics!
My favourite cardinal..we should have a pope from Asian region considering geopolitical tensions in the area against west friends of democratic nation's.
As a filipino, i am happy to see CARDINAL TAGLE as the next Pope. Imagine, during our lifetime, we have a Pope from the Philippines and Asia. If the Lord will, it will be done. The challenge is can he transform the 1.4b chinese, his root to christianity? Again, nothing is impossible to the Lord.
At the end of the day it is the HOLY SPIRIT who inspires and instructs the voting Cardinals who will be Pope. Weather we like a person or not is irrelevant. Man will propose but GOD will choose. Traditional catholics come across as too fearful. Those who really have the gift of the Holy Spirit know timidity is not a gift of The Holy Spirit.
This Is silly. Yes the Holy Spirit inspires and instructs but that doesn’t mean man listen to him. People have their agendas and you’re very gullible and naive to think that every single pope is hand picked by God. Where the Borgias hand picked by God too? Was Alexander VI hand picked by God?
We include him for prayers daily that the HOLY SPIRIT guide him to be the next pope a holy men to be the head of our church and be GOD preacher evangelist and we will unite as one child of God
Yes, it looks like Tagle was removed by the POPE himself from post as president of Caritas Internationalis due to "lavish spending" of funds of the Catholic Church.
@@jm08050 Corrupt priests as high as bishops and cardinals are everywhere. There are sex perverts, rapists, child molestors. For centuries, the Catholic Church covered up the scandals. It's only now that their evil deeds have been exposed largely by media. They didn't actually discipline them but either looked the other way or simply transfer them to other places and countries. What's disgusting is that the church uses her funds to settle and pay sex crimes committed by priests. No wonder Duterte hates the priests so much. He keeps suggesting people to read the book "Altar of Secrets@.
I definitely agree with you he is being groomed for the papacy and has been from the very beginning of francis's pontificate but I think you need to go deeper down the rabbit hole on this one. From everything that I can determine he is a modernist cut from the same cloth as Francis
He is my bishops and Cardinal favorite person who is candidate nobody else. If you compare to any cardinal anywhere period 🙏🏼❤️❤️🙏🏼❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Congratulations cardinal tangle for the gods calling your name for you hundle the people inwhole church as your faith ingod k regards to your coming services k
Knew it all along but it's upto the college of cardinals. As was stated in the video, he is a cardinal bishop - the most senior rank of college and he is a great communicator. The church needs to listen to the Holy Spirit and constantly evolve... He would make an excellent pontiff, akin to John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II and Francis...
Cardinal Tagle is the best in almost all aspects specially hi holyness, his Achilles heels is Church Administration. We can speculate at the end of the day our Lord will Elect the next Pope.
Si l'église catholique est universelle comme elle prétend de l'être, donc il est temps que le prochain Pape vient de l'autre côté du continent. Cardinal Tagle né aux Philippines qui est hautement qualifié , est un enfant d'Asie❤
I hope people do not look at Cardinal Tagle as an Asian, but instead, as a servant of God who is qualified to lead the Catholic Church. Does it matter if the politicians in the Philippines didnt like him? If you read in the bible, itbis said, that prophets are not appreciated in their own hometowns.
