It is really sad all around. My heart goes out to the victims that should have been protected. There is no excuse for certain priests' egregious actions and for Cardinal Law's cover up. All people, especially children, should feel the most safe in God's church. That did not happen. I will say the level of hatred is not going to help in the healing process. Wanting the "gates of hell to swing open" for Law is not helping. Jesus says pray for those who hurt you and persecute you.
Christs' words of wisdom indicated that men will have eyes, but will not see and ears but will not hear. He also explained that many will be deceived. There was text indicating that we should be wary of those that make themselves up in grandeur.
I hope someone shits in his graveyard...Bernard Law is a disgraced piece of shit. Shame that he got away with all the sexual predators he was protecting from the authorities. As for the victims, my heart goes out to them and I'm truly sorry that this happened to you.
It was a wonderful day when Law was taken from this Earth. O'Malley is much too political to do much about the abuse. The Cathedral is my Parish; however, I still feel the Evil when I take tourists into it. I could never attend a service there. I hope Law is exactly where should be.
Cardinal Law was not a bad man. He just made some bad judgements. He was kind-hearted and misbehaving priests took advantage of his good nature. They lied to him.
