😂 it’s fine though, if your thumb is too dry for the card to stick, just put it up to your lips and breathe out, the moisture from your breath should work for sticking the card, you can also apply pressure from the other side of the card with either your ring or middle finger when placing you thumb on top, the added pressure will help the card stick as well- there’s hope yet for us dry skinned folk 🤣
Okay - not only do I have ZERO sweat on my hands, they are bone dry. I put cream on them and I get slippery hands. I tried this technique the first way and the card just sat there as my thumb pulled away. Even using the "gravity" technique at a certain point on the way up the card just slips right off. I've had this problem with every single cardistry move that requires sweaty fingers. ANY advice? Products to get my hands sticky but not slippery?
@@namanalle3932 Yeah, forget it. I could send you video - Yes, gravity does help although even then then "stick" is extremely tenuous - the slightest move of my thumb in any direction makes it slide right off so you can imagine that trying to lift it up after waiting a while - it's gone, on the floor. I watched this video with a friend - did it step by step - she confirmed my grip was perfect, hands were exactly where they needed to be and zero on the result front. I now use a product called "SportKwik" that I found on a forum with people with the same problem and it works until it wears off. I have the same problem doing a fast overhand shuffle - my thumb just can't get a grip on the cards. With this product I can do it very quickly until it dries out. But THANK YOU for taking the time to reply!
I decided to hold about half the deck in my right hand making sure that the top card was completely free of my fingers, I took my thumb from my left hand, pushed it down as hard as I possibly cold, picked it up both quickly and slowly and the top card just sat there - even with that stuff on my thumb. REALLY FRUSTRATED!
The card will stick to your hands depending on how much moisture is on your skin- try breathing out with your thumb right in front of your mouth, and you should get breath moisture (weird ik lmao) on your thumb, then the card should stick, lemme know if that works for you!
Another tip to try is pressing the back of the card into your thumb from the other side, using either your ring or middle finger, the added pressure should help the card stick longer as well, good luck!
