Great review buddy. Just Ordered my packtalk bold today and its my first Bluetooth intercom 😁. When you shouted at the packtalk god it made me laugh 🤣🤣. How you have not got more subscribers is beyond me. Subscribed 👌
Thanks so much! I'm working on a packtalk edge review and giveaway so you're in the running for that since you're subbed! But yea the bold is a great unit but as you saw sometimes you have to yell lol.
I've been using the Packtalk for over 6 years. Haven't noticed a big improvement when updating firmware. Button operations has changed since the original firmware. Voice call command still sucks. Receiving calls works fine.
I never really used voice to initiate calls. Overall they still have a ways to go to be really intuitive, have you used the Edge? I find the voice commands in the Edge more responsive but ultimately it's a similar unit.
@@epicmotorcyclechannel307 Don't have a PT Edge. I have two Packtalks. Works ok for my use but voice calls doesn't really work. A by-pass is using the display hub on my Ducati Multistrada 1260 which retains the last 5 or 6 most recent calls. I can click on one of those to initiate a call to those on that list. Before you ask, I keep my phone in my breast pocket.
@@epicmotorcyclechannel307 I was just scrolling through the forums, If possible please try and see if it works. I'm looking to buy one soon and found your video. Great review. Love the multiple tests
the claimed range on these is total fantasy i would love to know under what condtions they tested them and got a mile its a joke i get 100-200m max in the best condtions while on the move
Yea I don't think a mile is even possible with the best conditions, I had a clear day and a straight line of site and got about 620m, only way to get that sort of range is to have multiple riders connected with mesh.
