My Maggie is a rescue from a puppy mill, her nails were SO overgrown it has taken 9 YEARS to get them to an "acceptable" length.....she Hates having them trimmed. Trim your pets nails people the vein and nerve grow out if you do not

Tis the season for giving and you give so much week after week. Lucky dogs, cat, family and community. My dachshund's nails grow so fast. I use a battery nail grinder 3x a week for about 5 minutes at a sitting. Lil fella gets fidgety anything longer than that. Wish you all a safe and happy holiday❤❤❤❤

A spa treatment for Dashies, how wonderful and they look so relaxed ❤💞. Mind you a treat after trimming each paw obviously works. With my Cocker she had to have a treat after every nail!

Your such a wonderful mama. I couldn't dare trim nails on my jack, theo and lillie (dauchsands). They go to our most excellent groomer for a spa day. I do brush their teeth every night before bedtime. Incidentally, I love the side eye lou was giving you. She so beautifully trusting and loves you sooo❤

I started brushing our cat's teeth when he was nine years (we had him when he was eight). He didn't exactly love it, but we found a good routine every other day. It made a big difference and his gums stayed healthy. Older cats are prone to dental problems, I guess the same with dogs. You take such good care of them❤❤❤

Well done on brushing your dogs' teeth, it's so worth it! Life hack that has saved us a lot of stress: If your dogs don't enjoy having their nails trimmed (as I'm sure most dogs don't!), walking them or playing with them on tar, paving stones, concrete or another abrasive surface helps shorten those nails stress-free. We play fetch with our dachshund on the stone pavers near our home every day and never need to cut his nails anymore. We also walk him on tarred surfaces instead of grass where we can. I always hated clipping my Rabbits claws because a couple of times I went too close to the quick and it bled a little… I felt so baaaaad! You’re so brave doing that!

They are so behaved , I see some kind “I don’t like but I be a good girl” … I remember my Tony (Doxie too) he does a pain shouting like he was getting killed and only was a nail problem issue 😂 He loved when I clean he’s ears :.. But touch he’s mouth and get bited instead 😂 What a stubborn Doxie I have in the past 😂(he’s my angel now a fluffy complicated one).

They're very calm. Most dogs hate having this done and they wriggle and squirm, but not Loulou or Coco. Hope Claire is feeling better and Romy also. Hopefully you and Fred didn't catch that virus?

The dental care is especially important! Dachshunds are notorious for gum disease and other tooth problems. Our mini lost 3 teeth at her annual dental care visit this year. She’s nearly 10 now, though. Eveline takes such good care of her girls! ❤🎉

Enjoyed watching the girls get a pedi and a mani. My guy gets a pedi, mani and teeth brushed, too. Brushing his teeth goes OK thanks to the beef-flavored toothpaste!

My adopted dachshund gets really aggressive and violent if I try to brush his teeth…I have given up as he tries to bite every time..instead I put a little coconut oil on his food it helps with the bad breath…but hope it helps with dental hygiene also!

Poor Coco, she has misophonia (when certain noises give people a fight or flight response). In humans it can be things like other people chewing or sniffling, people clipping their nails, potato chip bags crinkling, tap taps on keyboards.

Has either dog needed any teeth pulled?

Put a foam on that clipper, between the arms, so it does not make this harsh sound! -> Coco can relax better.

Ich schneide nie an den Nägeln von meinen Dackeldamen rum, dass macht mein Tierarzt ein mal im Monat. Die Zähne werden jeden Abend geputzt, dazu hat jede Dame ihre eigene Kinderzahnburste und ich nehme dazu Hundezahnpasta. Pfoten schmier ich alle 6Wochen mit Cocos Öl ein und es werden auch jeden Abend die Damen gebürstet

Change your Dachshunds with Pitbulls and Rottweilers, that´ the end of teethbrushing.

Good lord , love my dachshund to death but I have to take him to the groomers. He’s not as well behaved.
