I’m glad you’re having a positive start in the esthetics field. I got my license last Spring in SC before I moved to Charlotte and it was fairly easy to find jobs but not with steady income. That’s just what you have to expect when it comes to the beauty industry. I’m in cosmetology school now because hair is really my passion but you learn soooooo much about skin when you actually go to school for esthetics by itself. Esthetics is a growing field and I know it’s poppin in Miami. I hope it works out for you and hope you stay optimistic and encouraged.

Congratulations to you I'm glad you got your license my greatest suggestion to you is to go right back and get your instructors license the reason why I say that is because that is going to give you long-term stability number one and allow you to make money teaching it from a standpoint of an instructor and many jobs will have high regards when you come in as a license instructor I think you got what it takes you got to use you got the talent work it I've been a licensed manicurist 28 years since I was 19 years of age and I'm in the process and going back and getting my instructors license however in Michigan manicuring has almost become almost slim-to-none cosmetology Barber and Esthetics those are the three fields that seem to be thriving in my state I'm happy to know that you only have to go for 300 hours in Florida that's a win-win unfortunately in Michigan where you used to only go 300 hours is now $400 and if you have to use a Pell Grant and a student loan then they make you go for 600 hours unfortunately but even steal any license in the beauty field along with instructors license in that makes it just that much more better thank you for doing this video💅💅🏽💇🏼💇😎🖤💚💜🖤💙❣️🖤💭💬👁️🗯️🖤😎💇🏼💇❣️💚💜🖤💙🗯️

I def agree with working for a franchise. It’s a good starter job to get your feet wet. I’ve been with Massage Envy now for two years, ive become Lead Esthetician and wormed with some amazing esthetician’s. We use Jan Marini, Obagi, PCA, and we sell some Murad products, and like you said, there so many and so much to learn about each protocol and product. In my time there I’ve gained so much knowledge, and confidence BUT... I’ll be giving birth in January and I don’t think I’m coming back! Lol not because I don’t love my job. It’s time for me to move on to better things. My ultimate goal is to work under a doctor in a Medispa or a derm office! I want to do fillers and Botox badly because in the area I’m in all these older women want and love it! And I need THAT coin! Lol

I’m in Tampa fl I’m hopefully starting soon to be a full specialist as well as lashes if I get my ged they offer a program at the school. I keep seeing so much negativity about being one and that apparently it really matters what school you went to it’s really hard to get a job after. My friend graduated and someone reached out to her for a job and she’s doing really well and she moved out within a year after getting that job so now I’m lowkey freaking out

I just graduated and am sooo excited to be done. My school was so much drama. It was 750 hours for me. I have a job lined up at a sugaring salon :) as much as I love skincare, I always was interested in hair removal even before I started estie school!

Can you speak on how to pay for school?

I'm in Academy that has three year Esthetician program. It's really hard and stressful but I can't wait to be able to get a job that I love.

The reason why I ask is because I started Masters Oct 2019 and still have not finished. Due to people getting sick or being exposed the school would shut down for 2 wks. Just curious to know how other schools is handling this. Seems a bit much too me. My end date is at the end of the month.... finally 🤦🏽‍♀️

Oooo girl 450 hours? Lol I'm in my last quarter and doing 1200 for an AAT and medical esthetics. As we're medical, we are graded differently. I can go straight from school to a dermatologist office or plastic surgeon office.
