It seems like you read my mind!! Could you believe I was telling my brother that I wanted to make a Plantbased black cake for my birthday without the alcohol! Thank you!!
I tried your plantbase black cake, it came out pretty good, I was so impressed with the way it turned out. Thank you so much for your recipe, blessings and prosperity for 2022
I made this and it was really moist and delicious. Thanks again for sharing this recipe with us. I did add rose water to the mix as my Mom used to when we made it. I also added cloves & cardamom as mixed spice when I stewed the fruit but took them out before blending.
Thank you for the time and effort you willingly give to your recipes. It is very apparent, that you exude a passion, for these shared recipes. I will therefore, certainly make this cake. Gladly, I do not have to forgo eating a Caribbean fruit cake any longer. In its original form. This adapted plant based version, will certainly suffice. And will be shared accordingly! May blessings be bestowed upon you, always!
Thank you so much my dear love the health benefits and still not missing out on the goodness of eating black cake/ Christmas Cake etc. Question:What can I substitute for the Apple sauce??? Also what do you think of stewing the fruits in Malta and grape juice???
Amazing recipe and beautiful presentation. Do you think skipping sugar would compromise the taste much? Can that be compensated with a greater amount of fruit? Thank you!
Sis, sis, this is a game changer. I don't have to wait 40 days and 40 nights for fruit cake. As the others who tried said, so good. I put in only one cup of applesauce cuz that's all I had and I added 1.5 cups of sugar instead of two. I made other modifications too and still delicious! Thank you! Happy Holidays to you and your family.
I love this channel so much!! I haven't even tried this recipe but I'm certain it will be great (like many of your other recipes). Your work has helped me reconnect with jamaican foods I haven't been able to eat since going vegan. Might even try a hand at my own channel :p With the dried fruits, is there any reason in particular you don't add alcohol? Personal reasons or you prefer the flavour Love from England
Thank you so much. I appreciate the love. I’m glad to know that I am able to help you reconnect with Jamaican foods. If you ever decide start your own channel, I’m here to support you. Trust me it’s Work! Lol but doing it for the right reasons and knowing that you’re able to reach and help others is an amazing feeling. I omit it mostly for religious reasons. The flavors are still on point though!
@@AuthenticPlantbasedEats @🇯🇲 Authentic Plantbased Eats No problem! And thank you for offering the support! This is a project I've umm'ed and uhh'ed about for so long but I think I'm prepared for the workload...I hope haha I love to cook vegan food and want to educate so fingers crossed that's enough reason to get this done :) Once I've got some videos uploaded, I'll leave you another comment :D And yeah I bet it does taste amazing, even without alcohol. I'll try it and let you know :p Always looking forward to seeing more from you Stay safe
@@AuthenticPlantbasedEats Include a collaboration with your dad, I especially loved the episode where he brought you the green figs that you weren't expecting and you included it your ingredients and we saw his hand washing them ontinued blessings.
Hello sis! I love your channel! just curious is there a reason that you didn't use rum? is it because its plant based? ..and it won't work with the alcohol? just curious never had it without the rum.
@@AuthenticPlantbasedEats Thank you for replying. Ok. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t because it was a plant based recipe. I bought the ingredients to make the dumpling and ackee recipe. I’ve started missing my Jamaican food since going vegan. But your channel is helping with that!
So I'm off on monday and inviting you over for brunch. Mek sure you bring di black cake fi dessert okay🤭😂 And I actually picked up 2bottles of red wines earlier. Perfect
@@AuthenticPlantbasedEats came back to let you know that my family and I tried this recipe over the weekend and loved it! I most definitely prefer the vegan cake to the regular Christmas cake, very moist and tasty! Thank you, going to try the bulla recipe next 🤗
@@AuthenticPlantbasedEats thank you. I went and got the grape juice. I was not disappointed. My 5 yr old son loves it!! It is absolutely delicious. Gets better with time as you said!
Help! Did you mean 6 to 7 *tablespoons* of browning (the recipe says teaspoons)? I used 4 tablespoons and mine came out really light; too light for my liking 😭
@@AuthenticPlantbasedEats Thank you so much, I am so enjoying your videos. I will be trying most or all of them, thanks again so much, blessings overflow 🙏🏽
I recently discovered your channel and subscribed. I am going through all you videos. They are awesome. You did a great job explaining and I love how you got straight of demonstrating the recipes and not a long, unecesary speech at the begining. Thank you
