One of the best bonsai specimen out there, just about any member of the jade family has great ramification, are easy to care for and can live quite a long time if you know what you are doing. Be sure to watch the entire video or share with friends if you have a large Jade Plant or plan to have one sometime in the future. As always Plant Prudently!

Your video is very good on care and feeding of Jades. That said, I have been caring and feeding Jades for over 50 years. I have 5 that are 5 ft and taller and probably 30 different smaller sizes. I have cut them in many Bonzie shapes and my own creative ideas. I have a couple of ideas for you. I live in the Greater Seattle area, so the weather is mild and wet. My time table for taking them in and out is this. When the weather is under 50 degrees average I take them in. When I take them in I NEVER WATER them until the spring when the temp averages over 50, and I don't care how many leaves fall off or how sad it looks DO Not Water them, then I take them out and water them like any other plant I have in the garden. I do agree when you first take them out they can burn very easily, so I put a towel over all the leaves until they acclimate about a week or two then take it off. PS my wife hates them, but I have told her I have had them longer than I have had you......that usually ends that discussion. Good Luck

Hi, I've been collecting, growing Jade plants for many years and I have to tell you, this is the "BEST" video on Jades that I've seen so far! Thank you for your help and all the information you shared, Roy.

I really appreciate how thorough and in depth you get when you highlight a plant in your videos. You bring great info to your viewers. Your video on crotons helped me make up my mind to give mine away! 🤣

I was at a dr.’s office and they had a jade plant. There was a small 1 1/2 inch long section that had fallen off. It had one leaf on it. I took it home in my pocket. I planted it in a pot. Now 2 years later it has grown pretty large. About 1 1/2 feet tall. I have now taken two pieces off of it and have two others growing. These are fun plants.

I have a small Ovata Bonsai that Ive been working on for about 3 years. I just repotted it for the first time, so this video offered me a nice refresher course to get him settled into his new home. :) Crassula have to be my favorite family of succulents. Theres just so many beautiful, interesting varieties.

Great video. Is it best to put jade plants in terracotta or plastic pots? Mine are in the original pots they came in. Are they better off in ceramic or terracotta?

I have a large jade plant that was given to me 34 years ago and it was about10 years old then and has been in the same pot this whole time. 10 years or so ago, I had a cat that ate it down to 2 bare trunks, so I moved it down to my workshop and it made a miraculous recovery! Now, it is about 3 ft tall and about that wide and very heavy! It looks like I should transplant it but I am a little leery about doing it since it seems to be doing very well. This year it has started to bloom and the side towards the west window is loaded with blossoms. Should I transplant it into a larger pot or leave it as is?
