As the Care Quality Commission reported recently, LGBT people can sometimes experience poorer quality care at the end of their lives because their needs are not fully understood or considered. With international reach and practical insights from the latest research, this session at the Hospice UK National Conference provided inspirational real world examples of initiatives to develop personalised end of life care for LGBT people.
Speaking: Dallas Pounds, Royal Trinity Hospice; Dr Kimberly Acquaviva, Professor at the George Washington University School of Nursing; Dr Katherine Bristowe, ACCESSCare, King's College London; Claude Chidiac, Saint Francis Hospice
