@@gamerking0290 Not really , it is art, and a proffession at the same time. if you can hang on to your wife and family at the same time,,,,,well you are das Barron.....
One of Australia's funniest comedians. You have to keep in mind that he's trying to appeal to an American crowd. What's makes us laugh doesn't necessarily make them laugh because of culture difference.
Carl is the most loved comedian in Australia so stop lying, Australian's love Carl because he is so typically Australian and we can relate to him, he is one of us. That is how Australian's are, we use sarcasm and jokes and we take the piss. We don't need fake air's and graces, we are genuine, friendly, down to earth, laid back people and we have a great sense of humor.
@Nischal Ashamgari You might be right mate, but you know that as a fellow Kiwi it is my life's work to give every Aussy a hard time and hopefully get as much back. Cheers
Carl Barron shows snippets of Aussie life that most Australians can relate to. He recognises all those 'moments' that we took for granted and didn't know how hilarious they were till we saw them through Carl's eyes.
Carl is considered one of Australia's best Comedians. With countless sell out stage shows, he also has the record for the most Dvd's Sold.... So, to the few that do not like him, there are a few million that Love him... Including myself. To be honest, I've never met anyone who wasn't a fan of his.
I don't understand why some people are saying that Carl Barron is not considered funny in Australia. I will have you know that he is hilarious in how he jokes about everyday things. By the way, if you don't find him funny, why are you watching and commenting on videos about him?
Really enjoy his humour. It is is great to have tjis refreshing entertainment amis all tje gloom that is foisted upon us keep it up. You are GREAT. ALAN SHAW.
Hey I'm an Aussie. It's how we show we are proud! We are a very sarcastic nation and we create humour out of anything and laugh at ourselves... ;) just letting yous know haha. Good on ya Carl!!!
As a linguist who specializes on dialects and accents, this particular stand-up of his is brilliant. Not only is Carl's thick accent a music to my ears, but his musings about the origins of words are actually quite interesting to listen to from the scientific perspective. Yes Carl, the first words might've sounded like this. The reconstructions us linguists make are mere estimations that take into account the processes that (we think) took place in different language families. But I myself am quite certain that the first words were simplistic and sounded more or less like that.
I'm a kiwi (New Zealander) and my fiance, her nana, my brother and I love Carl Barron he's absolutely hilarious. I'm so looking forward to his show here in Auckland this year in September.
Carl's great, but I think what non-Aussies don't realise is that his humor is very much indigenous to Australia. You meet guys like Carl on construction sites; in offices and in bars all over Australia...just naturally funny and they keep everyone entertained with their quirky sense-of-humor. His brand of humor is VERY authentically Australian (perhaps more so than any other Australian comedian), which means that Aussies are kind of used to it. Carl is seen more as 'the funny guy in a group of mates' rather than an actual professional comedian. I think Australians have a hard time separating Carl from just the average Aussie going about his day and making everyone laugh; a bit like Paul Hogan.
I'm Australian and I love watching this guy. And one christmas night I was having a family dinner along with my uncle (who i don't see often) and he mentioned in the past when he was younger he used to be a bodyguard, one for a mate of his that he used to surf with. He said "we used to call him, weird Carl". Obviously I then asked him "was it Carl Barron?". When he ended up saying "Yeah! What do you know him?" I was in such jealous shock. But now I get to say that my Uncle used surfing buddies with Carl Barron and used to be his bodyguard. What I find strange is that I found out about Carl Barron BEFORE I knew about my Uncles job life as a bodyguard (he's a professional farmer now)
Why are Australians are the only ones who are putting this guy down. Should be more supportive of your countryman because as a non Australian, I find him pretty funny.
+KaysianReigns umm no, queenslanders are the only people who actually give a shit about that stupid "qld and nsw rivalry"... no one cares about that bullshit here (apart from the dumb asses)
Without a doubt the best comedian of all time & what makes it better is he's australian!! He says bullshit that everybody can relate to & the things he says is GOLD everytime!! If nobody likes Carl then it's obvious you haven't got a sense of humor and you are a dull person!!
0:17 yeh the accents can muck us up abit im a kiwi i was in california and after a couple days i developed a cough so i went to the pharmarcy i said to the guy im here for cough he said pardon me sir i said im here for cough he said no you fork off
