Last week we sat down with 1501 Certified Entertainment CEO, Carl Crawford for an exclusive “Off The porch” interview! Carl is well known for his All-Star baseball career but he has spent the past 3 years launching, running & developing his own music label, 1501 Entertainment which is home to Megan Thee Stallion and many more! During our conversation, he discussed having the idea of starting a label while he was still playing baseball, starting the label with his business partner Travis Farris who used to manage Paul Wall & Mike Jones, adjusting to the cut-throat music business, explains how he discovered Megan Thee Stallion on social media, reveals what he saw in Megan to make him want to sign her, explains why he partnered with 300 Entertainment, talks about the rollercoaster ride of the past 12 months as Megan’s career has taken off, he reveals he was not aware of Megan signing a management deal with Roc Nation until she announced the partnership, reveals that him and T.
