This is such a good cross section of all of our Black Martial Arts Super Heros, thanks for putting it together, it is all good. Seeing Jim Kelly, in that clip from Enter the Dragon, a movie that will always be on the list of Bruce Lee movies that stands out and where we got a chance to see Jim Kelly, at his best.

Respect to all of these guys, I did notice a few missing but still a good line up. However I have to give the crown to Carl Scott, nothing but respect. He looks well studied, and his execution and form's are up there with some of the best classical martial artist. In a perfect world the original Rush Hour would have been Bruce Lee and Jim Kelly tearing it up in the final battle of Enter the Dragon. That would be an epic assault on the sense's, can you imagine the scene!! We didn't get that, but at least we have my man Carl Scott and billy Chong killing it in Sun Dragon.

Thank you for this! Why don't we have more black martial artists/actors in modern times? I'd like Our black actors to expand beyond the boring repeated black melodrama/comedy movies. Edris Elba is doing good on the Sci Fi front, Michael Jai White is doing something here and there with action (really need a MK movie instead of the little 7 minute webisodes). I'm really hoping Jalen Smith can continue to get better as an actor, and continue his martial arts training, so we can have an action star for years to come. Will Smith, Wesley Snipes, Djimon Hounsou Samuel L Jackson, Denzel Washington, Laurence Fishburne, gave us a great 15-20 years of action, horror, and sci fi. Jai White, Elba, J Smith, M.B. Jordan (kid from Chronicle), need to pick up the slack before the old hats "retire".

Thanks for this tribute. I knew of Jim, Billy, Wesley & Michael Jai but didn't know of the rest. I'm so PROUD to have seen this & know that we've always had our own superheroes. I dabbled in martial arts when I was a kid but some of what I learned stayed with me & has even saved my life a few times when I was a cop. We need our senseis to be more visible to our young men, now more than ever in these trying times & the best way to do that is through action films. It was seeing people like Jim, Billy & Bruce Lee that inspired me to participate when I was young.

Wesley Snipes got his ass kicked in a club; Ron Van Clief got ktfo by a young novice in a real tournament; Jim Kelly’s moves are predictable and few; Michael Jai White thinks he could beat Bruce Lee. Billy Blanks lied in his info-mercial about his rank. Ego and concern for image reduces them a couple notches. Bruce Lee, Seiken Shukumine, Vic Moore, and many others are the most legit untouchables. These in the video are certainly very good but not supermen as they purport.
