There was a collective gasp in the cinema - I'd never heard that before and no-one saw it coming, so when Drago turned it on in the first round there was genuine fear for him. Similarly, that same crowd cheered when Rocky won - never heard that either. What a film. Still watch it today. RIP Carl. I had the honor of meeting Carl Weathers at MegaCon in Orlando, FL last year and he was one of the coolest and nicest celebrities I’ve ever met. Rest in peace, Carl. You are greatly missed by all your fans.

Gyms have a very special ability to make you completely forget about any struggles in life for a moment; if I feel stressed by studies or have some other challenges in life, then I always feel like my visits at the gym give me a break from all that.

Kinda off topic, whenever I am going through a low point in my life, I come watch yalls vids and get back in the gym and it really gives me motivation and somthing to look forward too, def gets me to better days. Carl was amazing, chubs is one of the best characters ever, he saw the spark in happy that nobody saw and did not give up on his friend

I tried buffdude’s 12 weeks plan when I first started gym after a bikini body guide. This was during 2015-2016 iirc. I’ve stopped gymming since start of 2019 and I’ve gained at least 10-15kg. Now I’m going back to the gym for the first time in 2024 and you guys are the first person i thought of. Thank you for your plan and videos guide in RU-vid. Seeing you guys still dedicated makes me want to jump into the bandwagon again ❤

I have always read the Vince had Carl train with circuit type training for his role for Apollo Creed. The routine that I read was a full body, six round, full body routine super set without stopping. Vince was adamant that workouts should be short and intense. Vince would have everything spread out around the gym and Carl would begin the round without stopping. Something like this: 1. DB Military Press 2. DB Squat 3. Barbell Rows 4. DB Bench Press 5. Skull Crushers 6. Barbell Curls 7. Lateral Raises I may be wrong...just what I had read from articles. This may have been the conditioning phase to get them shredded for the start of the filming. He said Carl was one of the best athletes that he worked with because Carl would do about 5 rounds like this 6 days a week. Vince said,"Car could have definitely been a bodybuilding contender if he wanted to go that route."

More important than the movements was Vince's schemes. Massive volume, short rest periods, high frequency. 8x8 is one example.

I enjoy your videos, love Apollo Creed, and love that you're paying tribute to him, so I'm not trying to bring any sauce with this comment! 😂 It was my understanding that Gironda's Neck Press was not a press behind the neck, but rather a bench press done to the neck, a.k.a. the Guillotine Press, for the pecs. Where there's no other direct pec work in this session, I'm guessing that's what he did. Gironda prescribed this a lot. Again, posting this with nothing but respect.
