I just heard about Steve Swallow now. Before I came here I thought "oh just another guitar player" but seeing as it was Carla the seamstress of American West Coast jazz so as a loyal long time fan I listened. He is a bass player. Nice sound. Smooth but kind of funky and i can groove on this. Yeah nice. I play drums and this is the kind of music that is very close to m heart. That emotional and somewhat jaded sound of the blues juxtaposed beside a classic jazz movement in sound and rhythm. Thank you. I was in a lot of pain and then that thing in the middle oh you have to get rid of that. Oh man that made all my pain come back in a second. Oh shit that sucks. I am a one legged drummer and I am in much pain a lot of the time as I lost it to an accident and they say that if you have a bad event the body remembers the trauma and the pain is really especially the phantom limb stuff. Please reload this. Get rid of that shit in the middle. When the ladies screeches at you. Thanks for the post anyhow.
I have one leg too. I am a guitarist/composer. Lost mine to flesh eating bacteria last year. Just now getting back to playing out and writing. I hear you on the pain thing. Hope all is going well and don't give up on music.
dont know.but its not an accoustic bassmaybe the two technique are incompatible.but look at his finger system,its more guitar orinted and he playe it on its own term so it did not sound like a plugg in accoustic bass...?
