With all the travelling you have done, including to Italy, I am really surprised you had never seen a cannoli. As a lot of viewers have pointed out, it's filled with Whipped Ricotta cheese, mixed with sugar & a bit of lemon. And the one you tried had Chocolate Chips as well, Pretty standard fare in most Italian Bakeries in the US. Sorry you didn't like it, but seeing you were expecting cream, I can see why it caught you off guard.

Oh my!!! Now THATS a chocolate fudge cake! Think it'd take me an hour to make a decision on what cake to try...so much choice!

I could never go there because I would probably end up asking to have one of everything haha 😄 😅 Plus the cream horn Looked like a chocolate dipped cannoli, originated in Sicily and is a fried pastry dough and has a ricotta filling

The cake looked good.... but WAY too much money for a slice of cake. I think the hype often disappoints.

Did you know that there used to be on TV called Chocywokydoda that has a shop in Brighton in England. Creates cakes out of chocolate and I have with family tried a chocolate bar & visited that shop. Really nice, never been in cafe. But have visited and experienced the small downstairs shop which found really interesting and is really inspirational to see in person. Found this interesting to watch, nice reviews of baked snacks you brought and tried. Never tried this at all, but might do one day? But overall, really enjoyed video. Cheers. 😀👍

Next time I nyc get the train down near wtc that takes you across to hoboken new Jersey thats the original shop and where you can meet the family if there in ! We met his sister she was so lovely ! The train station is really near to the shop hoboken is beautiful Frank sinatra born there too so safe beautiful views of nyc across the East River!!!

Should have got their lobster tails which is a layered pastry like shell with cream in the middle and their carrot cake. They are famously known for those 2

Cake Boss was an amazing show. Serious slice of chocolate fudge cake. Great value for the size of the slice. Though not all items tasted as good as they looked. 🤣🤣

The coco cake looked soo yummm OMG!!! Their Vegas shop is awesome anyway. I visited it last month.

Hi you too,It was so funny watching your reactions to the desert. That is what known as a sweet cannoli. Sold as a dessert at most Italian restaurants in the US .. and yeah the center it's super sweet I personally love them. But I don't like that much chocolate on the outside at all. Just a little on each end with some crushed pistachio nuts over the little bit of choc.. is how I like them. I would think that American chocolate no matter how you slice it or dice it. Can't compare with European chocolate especially Belgium! p.s. Charlotte I used to watch Cake Boss all the time too. I think it's still on here in the US I'll have to check it out? And as always safe and happy travels to the newly-engaged couple😘

Technically carlo’s is in New Jersey just across the Hudson River. Their factory building was built near the nyc border though in Lackawanna. It’s the situation like the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island where it sits in New Jersey waters but the two islands are nyc territory. You kinda need to know the little details for nyc because of how borders are there. The borders can get confusing fast. It’s a county and state thing that is drawn up by the local governments. Some borders even run diagonally through a house then you need two addresses for a house displayed. It’s confusing to say the least.

The cannoli you had really should have be thin and crispy with a nice ricotta filling. Nyc ferras in little Italy is very simple, filled with cheese to order on the spot. The shells are always separate until the last second as if you fill too soon it gets soggy fast. I think those got soggy. Lobster tails are more bread but cream not cheese. Lobster tails are sometimes called cream horns but they are good. The Italian doughnut is worth a try which is called a zeppli. I suggest finding a real Italian bakery and having real cannolis done the right way. Try to find a true Chinese bakery or dim sum place as Chinese New Year is fast approaching and it’s a good way to eat something different but have fun.

The size of those cakes they're huge!!😁I'd probably go for red velvet cake x...you know this little food blog is really really good 👍
