He also was ticked about those 2 nice AC visits his opponent got. Plus he had sunny side of court majority of time. I saw his face. He was angry like no other time I've seen. He won!!
@@hassanshahzada9146 Alcaraz's Extended GRUNTS are even more worriesome... They really ARE a HINDRANCE to ALL His Opponents, no getting away from that!
"I will be back stronger." means a lot to hear from especially a 20 year old Carlitos. What a talent, what a personality & he is simply the best I have ever seen in Tennis.
@@DeDominee1992Why do You think Alcaraz is humble, when he is clearly not?! He talks himself UP - ALL the time! Not... (always) warranted. And he doesn't have to be humble, it isn't mandatory.
I don't believe there is a greater Novak fan than me, but Alcaraz is so great person, a fantastic and wise young man and I am so grateful that there is someone like him to push Novak to stay fit and motivated at least for a few more years.
This is why we absolutely love Carlos. People forget that he's just 20yrs old. What an amazing champion. Congrats to Novak for the win. It was the tightest of margins and against Novak Carlos should be proud. No one on tour pushes Novak the way he does. The best player won tonight. Next time.
Absolutely one for the ages, this match. Unbelievable fighting spirit on display, both sides of the net. So much clutch shot-making from both players, this match was special.
Gracious in victory, and gracious in defeat. Amazing players, amazing final, totally deserved victory for Djokovic. I feel privileged to a witness of it all. Thank you Djokovic, thank you Alcaraz!
Vamos Alcaraz! You left everything you had on court and showed that you’re a true warrior! A job well done, could not be more excited for what’s to come!
Huge respect carlitos for this match from a die hard novak fan! hats off to you! and the part where you were crying when you spoke about your brother touched my heart because i have an older brother myself and i love him. The future is yours, until then, i hope you and novak will give us more matches like this!
I loved what Novak said. I was watching the match and I was thinking that Novak was going to win but when he had match point Carlos shut him down. It went to the tie break and Carlos was still keeping it competitive. I was thinking "Jesus Christ, does this guy ever give up?" In Novak's speech he said "I love that Carlos never gives up, but Jesus Christ."
Both are exceptional talents Alcaraz is very young but Novak at his age its unbelievable how he played the same level as 15 years ago as if he never aged. Unbelievable.
Carlos, even though I am long time Djokovic fan, you have the heart and soul of a champion. I (USTA 4.0-4.5) recently challenged one of my good friends, a D1 tennis player, and absolutely got destroyed after training hard for 1 month. When I went home, the first thing I did was cry. I thought everything I trained for was for nothing. However, watching the game today, I saw both of you pouring every fiber of their being into this game, no matter how desperate the situation was. No matter who the winner or loser is today, we all cry with you. Every loss is an opportunity to learn and evolve. Thank you for this game and come back stronger for the US Open!
@@pulkitnagpal3680 Oh, you have got to be kidding us!! There are Lots of challengers, but they are simply Not as hyped up! Oh, and So much for Alcaraz fans' 'humility'!🙄🙄🙄
Emociona ver el respeto que se tienen estos dos grandes tenistas. Ese debería ser el espíritu del deporte. Enhorabuena a Nole, el Gran Campeón, y honor para Carlos, el Gran aspirante.
This young champion is all natural talent, humility, and a limitless beifht future. Rhe emotions are raw and speaks to his impeccable professionalism. Head uo Carlito. The U.S.OPEN is calling now.
Thank you Novak not for a win, we had a pleasure and honour to watch 100’s of them. Thank you for raising the new level of extraordinary players like Alcaraz
i'm not an alcaraz fan, but this was still kind of sad to see. he upped his level considerably for the final and put on a phenomenal showing against novak. congrats to both for one of the best masters matches ever
How can you not like the guy? He always has a smile, humble and respectful. He just turned 20 years old, barely out of high school. He’ll easily surpass Djokovic in every aspect if he can avoid major injuries.
@@grl9917 because i don't? there are tons of players who have a "smile", are "humble", and "respectful" who i am sure you are not a fan of. don't really like his excessive celebrations or noise although i understand them either. why do alcaraz fans always act like everyone needs to be a fan of him? i already praised his tennis.
Absolutely fantastic match..as I knew it would be...THE LEVEL OF MATURITY ..HUMILITY N GRACIOUSNESS IN ONE SO YOUNG ITS ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING ..REALLY SAD HE LOST AFTER PUTTING UP SUCH A GOOD FIGHT..BUT MANY MORE WINS TO COME CONGRATS TO NOVAK
Absolutely gutted for Carlos. He had this match sewn up with Novak in dire straits but alas it slipped away. It was a physically and emotionally exhausting match, even as a spectator. You can see what a toll it took on Carlos and what it meant to him. He is young and learning. Love his spirit.
Well no wonder he felt revived enuf to win w 2...2!...AC breaks (one being questionable!!!)...and being in the shade more than Carlos. I think Djokovic's tactics today were way out of line. Roll tape...he only felt 'ill' when he was losing!!!
@@debbielynn6291 +36 ° C for almost 4 hours, 2 TBs with all the crowd's pressure and going toe to toe against an opponent 17 years younger than him who also happens to be the N ° 1 player in the world. Surely he was "faking" it. Go n' try it yourself, see if you make it out alive after just 30 mins. of that. 🤭😃👍
Playing at the level of Djokovic, one of the greatest, if not the greatest, at his young age, there is nothing to be sad about. I have no doubt Carlos will learn from this experience and become an even stronger player, mentally and emotionally. There is still room for improvement in his game, but right now, he and Djokovic are at a different level from everyone else's.
😢This was an incredible match...kinda felt like a grand slam final...really looking forward to see what happens at the U.S. Open...As for Carlos, I'm becoming a bigger fan of his each week: humble, talented, gracious, and his love of tennis/his supporters is quite endearing
@@Luckyluckylucno, its just one of the best masters matches ever, along with the Madrid 2009 semi final if you look at the quality of tennis this is one of the best matches of the year, doesnt matter who won
He won. He didn't have shaded court. He didn't have 2 AC visits on break. He was ripped off and I saw resentment on his face for the first time. D was a cheater.
@@Tennis_Expert Novak has awakened the beast, let him save himself for the US Open. Do you think that only Novak can come back after a heavy defeat? I can't wait for the US open! Two goliaths in finals, and i tell you this time Novak going down!
@@Tennis_Expert And had to cheat along the way by taking illegal time outs running to the "bathroom" for treatment. Same games from Nole. He's been doing that one for almost 20 years. Nothing new to see.
@@aca8638Novak is probably the best tactician in tennis ever. His ability to come back after a tough loss is astounding. Carlos is a good tactitian too, lots of variety of shots which I like, but Novak mentally remains the best ever.
Though I wanted Carlos to win, them exchanging wins keeps the sport alive. The gap between the two is quite underwhelming. He's the only one, outside of the Trinity, that has been able to compete against Djokovic. I haven't seen Djokovic fall to the ground, after a win in a long time. That's a testament to Alcaraz's game.

Big lesson learned by Carlos tonight, hopefully. Never let a wounded opponent off the ropes.......Especially when that opponent has 23 Grand Slam titles and has come back time after time. CA played way too casually and loose from 4-2 up in the second. Huge credit to him for the fight to the finish but this match should have been over in two sets.
I agree with you, he is humble and human, he admires Djokovic as well, so it must be difficult for him not to be affected by Djokovic feeling bad, taking toilet breaks and medical breaks.
@@angelopulgarin This was Djokovic's FIRST Day match in the Searing Heat! Novak was slotted, by the tournament, for ALL NIGHT matches, previous to the final! While Alcaraz has been playing DAY matches! But...Nice of You to give such 'fair' account of events😌
If they face each other again in New York for the US Open, they're in for a treat. And the fans in Cincinatti got their moneys worth for an awesome finals match.
So classy. I love this guy. As a longtime fan of Roger, Rafa, and Djokovic (and others), I can say that I might not be so interested in tennis anymore but for Carlos. Simply amazing.
From a Novak fan, hats off to Carlos. What a talent. I was worried I would not be able to replace Novak once he retires, but I can now safely say that tennis will be in great hands when the big 3 retires. What a class act.
Remarkable. Just wow. One of the best matches I've witnessed. Congratulations to Novak. Alcaraz has a great spirit and character. He is going to become a legend of the game. We are so blessed 🤗
He can't speak like man after lose, and you espect to be legend!? 😂 Hi just have talent that is not solution to become GOAT. GOAT is just one NOVAK djokovic.
@@nali514 He spoke from the heart. He has an excellent coach and plenty of time. He has a beautiful game - It just needs polishing. He doesn't just have talent. He's special. You just wait and see.
Carlos is the Winner, he is 20 for heavens sake, 16 years less experience than Djokovic, still gives a performance of a Master!💖💖💖💖💖I love you Carlitos💖
I heard some people talking about Carlos will learn humidity. Where do you ever see a proud Carlos? The guy is always fighting to win his matches. What do they want him to do? Lay down and roll over and not fight to win?
Perhaps he is experiencing the same level of haters that Nole does since the beginning of his career. They always try to find something to criticize him for. Not to worry or try to understand them, just enjoy the greatness of the man you admire and support! His career is just starting so you're in for a treat! Enjoy the ride!
Just can't get over the maturity of Alcaraz. Hope so much that the huge wins he's sure to have in the coming years don't affect him in a negative way, i.e. he stays grounded, etc. Not sure I've seen a 20 year old so poised, humble, evolved, tenacious and on and on and on. There is a lot of Nadal in him, but he is more likeable, in my opinion... He should be the king of tennis for some time to come and if he continues to carry himself this way, the sport will be in good hands...
He is such a beautiful soul - so sensitive, gentle and loving and because of this beauty we are all touched as something deep within ourselves moves each time we see him play and hear him talk. This is an amazing privilege. I agree with what Federer said that young players should not be pressurized too much too soon - something Djokovich immediately obliterated by challenging Carlos to more games.
Qué gran partido y qué pedazo de corazón. Sigue creciendo Carlitos y dándonos alegrias al verte. Formas parte de nuestras vidas. Descansa y el open U S A, te espera. Vamos!!
🇨🇦💖 you Carlos Congratulations to Novak but you will continue to be my #1. In my my mind, you will always be a winner. You took your foot of the gas and gifted the game to Novak. And you are so gracious and kind and no one could fake that because you are genuine. You are the future of tennis and have a LONG career ahead of you so enjoy the ride.❤🤗👃
I did. Carlito has a soft heart and Novak exploited that with his headache- taking pills theatrics and Carlito was so gullible, believed that he's killing his opponent and did not want to aggravate Novak's illness. No mercy in the US Open Carlito! Take no prisoners!
It's said so many times before, but it's a shame there has to be only one winner in tennis. Both deserves the trophy. Such a humble guy and I am so glad he's the one carrying the future of tennis right now. I just hope he stays free of injury the way he plays. Always feel exhausted just watching him.
A true champion knows how to accept defeat. He didn't have a temper tantrum, he's only 20 yrs old. Novak on the other hand staged a theatrical fake headache or being sick making Carlos lost his focus, I believe. Carlito has a soft heart. I remember him helping an opponent to stand up when he fell during the game. I hope Carlos learns from this, not to be faked by Novak's theatrical fake headache, taking pills, getting Carlito's pity. The game must go on. Beat him in US Open, Carlito! Take no prisoners next time. Vamos!@@NickWilson0001
