Its scary how he won this slam purely on his raw talent and insane physical abilities. Once he learns to tweak his game to reduce unforced errors and close out matches early he will become a truly unstoppable force
U say " once he learns" like the things he does are normal things that everyone can do with 19 yrs.... pls ... he played superb.... the others also wanted to win so yeah no easy games path to the title
@@Lovistarful What he means is that he's not even in his best form yet. He's just getting the party started. He's already amazing and will get better as he ages and plays more games. Just 1 year ago he got beaten pretty bad in Paris due to not being able to play against a crowd that wanted him to lose (alcaraz vs gaston paris). We can see how he learned to play against the crowd in the Tiafoe game. He will keep learning and improving for the next couple of years. Then he will peak at some point but by then who knows how many more grand slams he will have.
Everyone said it wasn’t a real Slam win because Djokovic wasn’t playing. Well now Carlos is Wimbledon Champion 2023 having defeated Djokovic who, in his own words, was playing his best tennis ever. I think that settles it.
I remember commenting on a video after he lost in Hamburg and Umag. So many people said to me he was overrated. And after Canada and Cinci they said the same thing. Now he’s won his maiden Grand Slam and is number 1️⃣ in the 🌍. You ended the GS season in style Carlitos! Tennis has a bright future ⭐️. Congratulations! 🎾🏆🇪🇸
Oh man! Same! So many people told me he was overhyped and he was lucky to win Madrid. As a fan, it is so rewarding that he showed all of the doubters that he is capable of winning a Grand Slam. VAMOS CARLITOS!
I still remember all the criticism he received after losing at Roland Garros and Wimbledon.... He proved them all wrong. Like it or not, this kid will be here for a long time✨️😌
@@zhandigustav7777 Why is it valid? He reached the quarterfinals of RG and 4th round at Wimbledon(he played 2 grass court matches prior to 2022 Wimbledon) on his secound year on the tour. His results are astounding for his age.
I have been a Nadal fan since he first came on the scene . I started watching Carlos last year when he appeared on the pro circuit . I am definitely a Carlos fan also now and am so impressed with his attitude, athleticism and determination . His three straight five set wins blew my mind . The changing of the guard has begun .
You don't want to count Djokovic and Nadal out yet. If both men don't win any of the four majors next season then we can come to that conclusion. Moreover, I don't see Alcaraz beating Rafa and Djokovic consistently for now.
Another great talent tennis player from the amazing Spain. Congratulations Carlos and we are looking forward to seeing you and your beatiful tennis the same way as our beloved Nadal.
A new star is born, again from Spain, Carlos Alcaraz before he won his 1st gs title here in the uso 2022, he already defeated two goats, Rafael Nadal in Madrid Open 2022 & Djokovic as well, also in Madrid Open 2022
I still remember watching a video of his 13 yo starting out playing on clay with his coach ferrero and that was years ago. Now he's world no 1 at only 19 yo, setting the new world records for youngest men tennis to reach no 1.
Well deserved! Well done! Amazing athletic performance and a very likable and charismatic kid. Seeing him run up the stands to hug his family and team members was fantastic too. Many more to come! Vamos Carlitos!
It's one thing to dream really big. It's another world to make them come true. Self belief is a powerful blessing. Felicitaciones Carlos en todo lo que quieras lograr. Son tus sueños chico.
The only way to beat Carlos is becoming Carlos himself. The only thing stopping him is his mind. Right now he’s got a great mentality, but if he can keep this up is another question. Consistency is key.
@@henryshear5510 Exacly. Alcaraz playing one of his worst games, almost traced the match to a Zverev who was playing one of the best games of his career.
Hes great whag more if theres no Covid he might have done it sooner but as of now lets enjoy a ne of a generation talent, a humble and well mannered kid, Vamos Carlitos
I had a Twitter user trying to argue that 19 year old Federer and Nadal were better than Alcaraz right now at 19. Let me hear what you have to say RU-vid comments! I think Alcaraz has the stronger body/athleticism and more complete game at 19 vs Federer and Nadal at 19, what do you all think?
Carlitos. His name is Carlos and Carlitos the diminutive. Understand??? In Spanish we write it CARLITOS and we pronounce it like that Damm it!! You understand?? In English, how do you say it, TOMMY or TOMY??? Freddy or Fredy?? Johnny or Johny?? Jack or Jak?? Gimme a break!! No hard feelings!!
Once again we can see the difference between Alcaraz and Nadal at the same age. Nadal was much more raw and relied on his infinite stamina, grit, lightning quick speed, athletcism and overwhelming players with his strength. The combination of playing lefty with extreme topspin gave him an advantage against the tour and he exploited it. In contrast, Alcaraz is the complete package and is a much better and all-round player. His slam results at the same age are better than Rafas and Carlos is the better hardcourt player at the same age. 18- 19 year-old Nadal= muscles, speed and stamina. 18 to 19 year-old Alcaraz= a real tennis player.
Everyone's wimbledon results were not counted. Novak was allowed to play at the USO, he just didn't follow US's vaccination rule for non residents, nobody's fault but his own, he doesn't deserve a special exemption.
He understands English speakers and reply questions. His job is to play tennis. English is easy and he just uses for his profession, wich is, you know that already, play tennis.
