It is ridiculous how Carlos FH seemed to not be working so good as usual (still incredibly good, but not the top of his game), but Carlos says, "nah, my serve, return and backhand can do the job"....146 km/h BH on a rally is just mindblowing. He out-served Shelton on the 1st and 2nd....and 0 double faults, just mind-boggling.

Nice to see Roger Federer in the crowd. Rafa should have played doubles again with Roger at this year´s Laver Cup and end his career afterwards. But somehow Rafa just can't quit.

Shelton can really keep up with guys like Alcaraz. But against tactical players who use his (sometimes mindless)power against him is difficult…Remember his loss against mannarino at Australian open this year

Shelton tape fort, il n'a peur de personne, a un ego surdimensionné, et ça donne un jeu étonnant, super excitant, mais en vérité depuis trois ans qu'il est sur le circuit, il fait tellement de fautes directes, je ne vois aucun progrès de tournois en tournois sur ce plan, ça commence à être inquiétant. Plus il tape fort, plus il fait de fautes au troisième ou quatrième échange. Il n'a plus d'énergie et plus du tout de tactique plus les matchs avancent...

Shelton is just a big hitter and a clunky mover. If he took two seconds to consider placement, weight of shot and employed a more mature match strategy, his obvious power would work to his advantage. Time and time again, I watch the best players using his power against him, by take shots early, which puts the pressure right back on Shelton feet before he's even finished his service swing and stroke.

Never understood Shelton forehand.. I feel he is struggling hitting forehand... The shape is so ugly... Poor consistency... Every time finish around the head... He has bad rotation
