I watched him being groomed in Japan. He lived with his trainer. He went to school there. He did his homework and his trainer also checked his school,homework. Yulo would cry in a corner of a gym while his trainer just stayed away and let Yulo let his emotions come out. It’s very holistic. Look at his reaction. No fist in the air that he won gold. He was happy and humble.
Oh my.... Many didn't know what he had been through while he was in Japan... Now, people bashed him and telling him how ungrateful he was on his mom. If I was the mother, I wouldn't care about how much he gain from winning but seeing Carlos HOME again safe and sound
And also thanks to himself for having the determination and endless training. Not only to the Japanese trainer but also to all the supportive people that contributed his success.

Wow! O G!!! That was a fantastic performance, he really deserve it almost flawless routine. He made history for our country the first ever GOLD in a world championship gymnastics. I can't stop watching this video, very proud of his achievement. I wish Philippine government spend more money on sports to support our athletes because we have so many talented athletes in Philippines. Definitely big credit to his Japanese coach with all his effort and advice. PROUD TO BE FILIPINO
Sorry but evey Filipino politician prioritizes his/her own pocket. They don't care even if we die of hunger as long as their bank accounts are in millions or even billions of dollars..... As long as no Filipino politicians will ever be tried in court, sent to jail and be electrecuted of the billions of pesos or dollars (as often as the cases are) they would still enjoy ROBBING us the Filipino people of the services we direly need. I don't know when are we going to wake up and be able to fight back at these politicians... I believe there will come a time that a Pinoy politician will be covicted and die because of ROBBERY! @@derekyuree1563the only reason for that is because yulo was pressured so he stumbled during qualifications and failed to make it to the finals. It was an easy gold for Dolgopyat because the reigning champion, Yulo, was out even before the finals.

This is what i always emphasized. That we should focus on those sports that will give our country more edges to an international competitions. Gymnastics, track and field, football, judo/karate/taekwondo and so on. Congrats Caloy
CARLOS YULO IS even BETTER in 2023 Asian games in floor exercise in this 2019 championships. I think Carlos had improved a lot. I hope he will be a gold medalist in floor exercise competitions for the rest of the year and beyond. He is a joy to watch. Very elegant executions. In my opinion, he could be one of best male gymnast for all time.
