great fight. for some reason this fight reminds me of Pacquiao vs. Morales 1, when Morales was bullying Manny easily. I think if Morales just fought Manny a little more disciplined like Ortiz did here, he could have won the fight very, very easily.
@Christofides1 its in my scottish blood! just genetics cant go blaming me now can we. what you can do if you're legitimately bothered is add a watermark to your fights. although that means people can't really use them for highlights and whatnot.
@Christofides1 I've not really got anything planned at the moment, although uploads are appreciated as I can watch them and add them to my fight store! Got a few fights from your channel, it's really helpful. Latest one I've downloaded is Sanchez vs Lopez which I'll watch soon.
Peace, I'm looking for the fight that Carlos Ortiz fought for the Jr.Welterweight at MSG, where Felipe Rodriguez sang the Puerto Rican National Anthem. I'm looking for this whole fight including the anthem. I'm not sure who Carlos fought that day. Do you know where I can see this fight complete with the anthem? Blessings.
Well you know that's a load of horse shit Brown was a odds favorite coming into the fight plus even pulled out the first time was suppose to happen & had to be rescheduled months later ..Whatever Magazine you claim you read which I doubt was bullshit this article thecomeback.com/queensberryrules/2014-articles/throwback-thursday-carlos-ortiz-nabs-a-decision-and-joe-browns-title.html Explains the whole ordeal before during & after the fight
The WBA changed it’s name from the NBA (National Boxing Association) on August 23, 1962. This fight took place in April of 1962 and was actually the last NBA lightweight title fight. It is true, however, that Ortiz was the first WBA champion since the name change.
@@pakapolchotkiatkij2252, Any time! Finding out information about the NBA and also NYSAC titles is very difficult and confusing work as the facts all seem to be out there, but they need to be put together like a puzzle as there seems to be no one place that has it all laid out as it is. On the WBA’s website they give that exact date as when they changed their name, but on boxrec, this fight is shown as having been for the WBA as opposed to the NBA. Hell, Muhammad Ali held the NYSAC heavyweight title and there is a boxrec article that shows that, but his actual boxrec does not reflect it.
