@@BodiBada If Gukesh's queen was instead a rook, I can see a draw. But it's tougher against a queen simply because of her octo-directional movement.

It's easy to see which is the right wP for bK to take: the wP that's furthest from wN (and thus not susceptible to the forks you mentioned)

No, black queen can give a check and bring the black king towards the e pawn, black queen can then try to pin the horse to win it

not true at all, if gukesh takes with the king, fork and you have to take pawn instead of knight otherwise white will promote and win the game, if with queen its the same thing , its a draw but you can take the knigt because its close to the pawn, in both cases its a draw cuz of insufficient material, also why does this have 4 likes? its totally wrong

Why not make a king move and just always defend knight with king. Would black be able to make any progress and possibly draw? Black has to defend pawns with his king.....?

After the pawn is pushed, Black is in check. If they don't take a pawn, then promotion is unstoppable. After Black stops the threat, it's basically King and Queen versus King and Knight, since the remaining pawn will never promote unless Black blunders terribly. It's a complete loss for white
