The game is never over the clowns I play will take the knight with their queen 👑 which is bad but avoids mate and then they just shuffle pieces and try to beat the clock
After you play e4 attacking whites knight, the knight doesn’t actually have to move to g1. It can go to d4 where if we take, they play Qh5+ and if we move our king they fork out king and knight and our king isn’t safe, if we play g6 they just play fxg6 if we do nothing then they play gxh7 and we lose our knight (discovered check) if instead we play Ke7 they fork us and we lose a pawn

Thank's for this a video. A suggestion : You should make a video on the Schliemann gambit which is the same response 6....f5 but against the Spanish opening.
actually, white can play ND4 immediately as soon as you push your e-pawn. Annoying how this isn't mentioned, as it is the best move for white. After losing the knight, you move your queen and win material.
I've tried this defense gambit but ran into an issue... What if white accepts the gambit and on move 5 white plays ND4 and move 6 QH5? Black is in trouble then, correct?
@GMIgorSmirnov, on 2:02 what counterplay do you have as black when they play Nd4? You can win the knight by taking it, but how to defend then against Qh5+...????
There is a possibility that you didn't talk about. And it can be critical. What happens if after White makes exf5 and Black makes d4 White Ng1 Black e5 then White can make Qh5+ which is a much stronger move for White. Mickey
I like playing this gambit, but I have so many issues when they play 4.d3 to defend the pawn. And more and more when I play the Rousseau that is the response so it's been getting harder for me to win with it.
Great video, as well as the previous on this opening. I played it a lot, once someone played Bxg8 which was a huge surprise, and destroyed the game pretty fast. Can you suggest what would be good moves for that version?
Every time I play ...f5, they snag with bxg8 and take my knight. How can we counter that move? Otherwise, we just trade with Rxg8 and can’t castle kingside
Love playing the Rous. Against d3 I follow the stockfish line of bb4+ and then immediately retreating to e7. And then playing it like a reverse QGD. I’ve been facing it a signficant ammount so any interesting lines?
Sincerely GM Igor Smirnov, i am really trying to figure out a good opening to play as black in these few days. And again your email is suddenly there to give me some answers. Well, I am starting to think that maybe GM is hacking my computer or some sort of wizard that can read my mind. 😂😂
What the HE🏒🏒 does it mean "no compensation". I've been playing this gambit nearly every day since your first video on it, and the only drawback is I have some weaknesses in a closed game where the gambit is declined. Basically I improved from 1100 to 1400 once I learned this one, and you always get the pawn back and a huge lead in development.
Sir I am not your enemy but an obedient pupil ; I can prove that when white defends e4 pawn by playing d3 he losses the game but its credit must be given to me because I have discovered the way!
Sorry, but you’re absolutely wrong about your statement that an ai-Carlsen has anything to do with the real Carlsen and that you could take so-answers as if they were real ones. I like your channel but honestly this is the most stupid assumption
I've never encountered anyone playing Rousseau gambit, but all my enemies playing Italian game did, I'm always getting great advantage in the opening, we need more, this is the most tricky and powerful opening
I found this opening accidentally and played it for months. Loved it. Couldn't really stand up to the opposition once I got to 1600-1700 though and changed to the caro-cann.
Agree, I have faced such move and there are interesting variations. One of them - white queen take a rook and lacks try to catch this queen. Would e great to see an analysis of that!
Igor, 2:10 was a mistake by pushing black pawn because white queen could come down to put black in check ... you know this from your previous video so i'm not sure why you'd make that mistake now.
2:09 what if the opponent decides to play Qh5+ instead of moving their bishop? I know black should be good but this move is supertricky and black can go down easily if you don't know what you are doing.
Well i asked myself the Same, but its similar to Vienna 1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nc6 3.f4 exf4 4.d4 , No fear concerning Qh4+ . So after this Qh5 Simply Go into Ke7, leads naturally to a good Game, there are No Threads
I was just playing this opening with my brother to test my memory of the lines. He went Bb3 instead of Bb5, and I followed with the Qg5 plan. Is that how you would have played in this position, and what would be the logical continuation?
just as i thought....i knew this opening was too good to be true even Magnus knew it. as a matter of fact i lost terribly when i first used this opening in a club match. I practiced this opening and followed all basic variations thinking i have a surprise weapon. after my opponent accepted the gambit at exf5 I pushed at e4 thinking either his Knight will go back or pin the epawn with his queen....BUT to my horror, he sacrificed his Knight Nd4....and i thought he must have gone mad and lost hope and so i happily took his Knight at Nxd4.....and that's when all went south on me. He moved Qh5+ and together with his pawn at f5 and bishop at c4 made a suffocating attack on my King in Legal's mate style. and then my opponent said "You didn't see the How to Destroy the Rousseau Gambit video"...and i just replied with a stup!d alibi ..." I don't even know what that is"...
Sir"I have written twice my comment as a question but you could not answer third time I hope the same sir I have got crush the roussao gambit so please give its credit to me' sir e4 e5 nf3 nc6 bc4 f5 d3 bc5 ng5 f4?? White wins!!
I think such a video by showing most played moves and their win percentages of decent elo players. Also conclude with a few top engine moves so you are prepared for good players. And to be prepared if black plays this against you!
