I wonder why this global chess league can be played in chess960 format but a change could be to have a only one random position from 960 throughout the tournament without changing untill final. As this is team format players can go through that particular position came up with plans and strategies as every team consist of world best chess players. Its a just food for thought.

I really enjoyed the previous edition, so much that I watch some of the highlights occasionally, especially the last day. Looking forward to October. Edit: I know chess is mostly an individual event, however I'd love to see them include something like Bug House Chess as part of the event. Or maybe, the variant where each player takes turn to make one move each one after another (I'm not sure what it's called). Basically, I want to see how the teams prepare and work as a team for the match. 😅

There should have been a limit on retentions! Magnus' team are clear favourites Hou Yifan gives them an edge Magnus hinself is the edge😂 American gambits are also extremely good Nihal gives PBG a slight edge Overall the other players mostly are evenly matched Rooting for Vishy's Ganges Grandmasters though It'll be fun to watch these youngsters make a mark.Murzin will grow a lot!
