I think Alphonso was the most rounded talent among very talented people, but I was always impressed by the fact he never seem egotistical, seemed like a genuinely nice guy.
ektorhp My friends and I made bets on the NBA finals (I bet the Rockets win, one bet the Cavaliers win, one bet the Warriors win and one bet the Blazers win) and if one of us wins the other three have to do the Carlton and post it
@@xtiancolquhoun7410 LOL well actually a high five's not super black either. If Tom wanted to confuse Carlton he would've fist bumped or dapped him up lol.
My church believes that God assigns two guardian angels to each member: one to protect them; one to report their deeds both good and bad to God. Given this scenario, and the one from "The Simpsons," I would imagine my guardian angels resembling Bruce Lee and Freddie Mercury, respectively.
Exactly, right? The show is primarily designed and scripted to showcase Will Smith's charisma, which is understandable. But Alfonso Ribeiro is such an amazing character actor, he has his own talent and charm and he played his supporting (and sometimes semi-antagonistic) role as Carlton Banks to the hilt.
This takes me back when life was not Scarry. I missed those days. Young folks don't rush to be grown you will have plenty of time. They were not lying. Rest in peace Mom.
I have ALWAYS loved Tom Jones as a kid. Tom Is SOOO cool that at 1:25 when he stands up there is tissue stuck to his right wrist area and he gets rid off it and never even skips a beat!! I am absolutely loving that royal blue and black combo. That's my sweetheart!!😍😍😘😘💖💖.
It's not unusual To have Dad be proud of me. It's not usual 'Cause I love conformity. But when I see Dad Hanging with Will instead of me, It's not unusual to see me cry. I wanna die.
Haha it's the way he sort of turns his head and looks it him stirnly as if he's like "This had better be good young man". Then when he gets up to sing he looks all relieved and up for it
Hello amazing fan. Thank you for your beautiful comment. I’ve seen a whole lot of “RIP” attached to my name all over the internet. This is the reason I decided to debunk this false new of my demise. Late Ton Jones was the one who conceived the twist on Romeo and Juliet with composer, John Donald Robb. He died on the 11th of August of cancer in his home in Sharon. Please disregard all the false publications on the internet.I’m still alive and much healthy. Thank you beloved fan. For further clarification,I added my personal mail address to the description and on the Channel banner. Thank you so much, may you have a beautiful day ahead🙏🙏
I have seen the Fresh Prince plenty of times, but this is the first time seeing this scene and it was just beautiful. Tom Jones can sing really well and admire his voice. Alphonso has always been mad talented. I remember him a long way back to the Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson and a friend on Silver Spoons.
One of my fav scenes! I also love how Carlton is essentially the black Alex P. Keaton another brilliant and iconic sitcom character just like Carlton. I always thought had Fresh Prince and Family Ties had a crossover Carlton and Alex would be homies lol.

Fresh Prince, Married with Children, Sanford and Son, Barney Miller, The Golden Girls, Family Ties, Frasier, The Jeffersons, Everybody Loves Raymond, All in The Family, The Odd Couple, Malcolm in The Middle, Everybody Hates Chris, The Middle, The Steve Harvey Show etc. some of the very best ever made!
00:40 - The audience didn't fully catch this bit. Carlton is so out of touch with his Black roots that he didn't understand Tom saying 'Break it down'. 😂😂
you should check out the history of Cardiff Wales particularly Tiger Bay and Butetown districts, and you'll find there is a strong possibility that he is mixed.
+J o n a t h a n Tom was the SHIT, when I was a kid!!! And I'm Black!! We ALL loved the Tom Jones Show and the song "It's NOT Unusual" I used to sing it at lunch time for the White girls in grade School - Hahahahaha!
@@worldvlogswithemad1576 finally somebody says what episode I’m re watching it rn and I’m at season three already but he did the dance in season 2 so i thought I missed it 😂

Tom Jones! I remembered my mom running up the stairs from our basement when the Tom Jones show came on. We saw Janis Joplin & Tom's duet on his show. It was electric!!!

This episode was phenomenal! Carlton revived Tom Jones. Check out Carlton dance too. He's a choreographer too. I would love to see him in person! Seriously.
That's because back then sitcoms like this were worth doing for big stars who were also fans of the shows. Fresh Prince had great writing and acting and was a big hit so no surprise the amount of great stars the show had. Sitcoms today can't say the same to where only "stars" who are desperate for an easy check will do them.
Dude. Do you have any idea how hot this show was back then? This show was a ratings machine! So I don’t understand your logic. This show was on NBC prime time. This wasn’t on UPN or some unknown network.
@@jrsmith1998 No, but there were some big stars who looked down on doing television no matter how big the show was or what network it was on because Tv was considered to be second class after movies. So it was a big deal whenever big stars would appear on a tv show, especially a sitcom which says a lot about the greatness and popularity of sitcoms like Fresh Prince, Married with Children, Living Single, Seinfeld, Golden Girls etc. to get such talent to come on and have fun.

When sitcoms bring in big stars in for guest appearances they are always some regular character's parent or uncle etc. And then add some texture and mega star quality to the show. But the writers on this bring in a mega star to add something to the storyline and combine a slice of the movie Its A Wonderful Life' . Mucho Bravo to these writers and the rest of the production team.
