Galaxy was one of the best Mario games of all time. Truly a masterpiece for us 2000’s to be blessed with.

Pigninjius I think that they handled the 3D environment very well and had good physics it still looks like a good game today even after aging

J-Rex TV The gameplay was awesome and functional, but one of my favorite things about galaxy was the creativity. I mean, you had galaxies that consisted of both fire and ice, toy galaxies, honey hive galaxies, galaxies made out of donuts, and a galaxy made completely out of space junk. In galaxy 2, we got introduced to galaxies made completely out of wood, gravity galaxies, and it even alludes to sunshine with star shine galaxy. Hell, there’s even a galaxy that’s a reference to 64(Throwback Galaxy). Because Mario is in space, the only limit is our imagination, since we don’t know what is really out there. Not to mention that Galaxy had one of the best OSTs of all time. It can be as calm as Space Junk galaxy, where you can feel like you’re in space, floating around, or as fast paced as Puzzle Plank Galaxy. The orchestra can bring out the best of the OST, such as in Good Egg Galaxy or Gusty Garden. Oh, and don’t forget that song that plays when you read Rosalina’s book. Brings me to tears every time.

Pigninjius if I’m being honest galaxy had a great OST and sometimes I listen to it just for that great nostalgia feeling and some of those galaxys were very creative I agree with but another cool thing is the used new power ups in creative ways no matter how silly they were. They were always able to make a puzzle out of it some levels were even entirely based on some power ups

J-Rex TV Honestly, bless the people who put Boo Mario, Bee Mario, and Yoshi in 2. You have just so much potential with these power ups. Oh, and the ice flower was honestly awesome. Just freezing up waterfalls and doing all that blew my 8 year old mind. Even the spring mushroom, which was uncontrollable, was pretty cool. But we can all agree that the rolling levels with the star balls were a bit of a pain at first, right?
