"The song of healing" is soothing and "We Are Here" sounds awesome! Some songs here wouldn't really be considered disturbing, I think it's mostly the creators idea of creepy but still some just aren't. But everytime I hear "Witch Is Nearby" some type of primal fear takes place because she is by far the scariest and most tragic infected to me.
I haven't played the game and it still haunts me.(ps. I was listening to the ddlc soundtrack and the song when you first see sayori right before sayonara did)
Before was was was, was was is Whoever coined the term coined the term, coined the term coined the term, Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo
The DDLC one is definitely the most unsettling and scariest one for me, not only because of the disturbing and unnerving imagery, whenever I hear it I feel really uneasy and dizzy, it's like I'm panicking and getting anxious and sad every time I listen to it, Team Salvato really made the best Phycological horror ever
*Hears Lavender Town song for the first time* "OH, this is quite creepy." *90s Japanese kid hears it for the first time* "I have decided that I want to die."
Honestly, as someone who's been playing the series since childhood, Lavender Town is tame compared to some other Pokemon music, such as N's Room, Galactic Hideout Depths, Strange House or Drought. Hearing it after Prayer (the only thing here to make me look behind me, though not necessarily the scariest) was almost reassuring to be honest
You know, Sayori's soundtrack scares me, despite the fact that I have listened to it, I don’t know how many times over the course of 4 years. The beginning of the dosihpor scares me, because of it it seems to me that if I enter my room, I will see her body (or my relative). And this scares me even more, the developer tried very hard on this, I am very grateful to him for the loss of my psyche :D
Song of Healing isn't creepy at all, it's actually a good composition, it's relaxing and soothing, unlike Song of Unhealing... i'll be damned, 1.2k people agreed with me. welp. no need to like it, just leave a reply
Songs on this list include A song about a boy hiding from his crazed mother because she heard a voice from god telling her to kill him 2 a depressed introvert who commits suicide to escape her past 3 a plumber running up stairs
Fun Fact: Sayo-nara is a slowed down and creepy version of "Your Reality," a song you get greeted by; by Monika at the end of the game. The intrumental version of Your Reality is the opening game song when you first open up the game.
It's not gonna get a minecraft treatment, as minecraft nostalgia is the hungering for being a kid again, unless you're a kid there will be no minecraft level nostalgia
Lol tell that to nemesis from resident evil. "Kill" him during one of the many encounters with him and he falls down bleeding in a pool of purple blood. Later he comes back as if nothing happened.
@@Cadio there was a myth where the japenese version of pokemon on gb the music for lavander town could make kids ears bleed. have nightmares every night or even die
There's a moment in Gyigas fighting soundtrack, That the music goes calm and them returns to the chaotic rythm from the beginning, That's really disturbing, Mainly if you think in the perspective of a kid in the 90s who played Earthbound
Yea but imagine that you play the Game without knowing any spoilers and for first time , *and then that happends* . If it happends to my i would have a trauma honestly
For me, it's the distorted music that plays in the hallway scene with Yuri. I got it on my first playthrough and I never saw it before when watching RU-vidrs play DDLC so it kinda startled me. It also kinda made me fear the game a little bit more and actually gave me nightmares for 3 days straight. Edit: It's a distorted version of "Play With Me". I think the event is rare to encounter (if i recall it was 1 in 66? but dont take my word on that). Edit 2: I forgot to mention, but the scene happens during Act 2 (obviously) when you can see Yuri with cuts on her hand. The thing rewinds, but instead of continuing normally, the screen goes blank for a bit and then a still image of Yuri with white eyes appears with the distorted music playing, but then it glitches out and then resumes normally. Edit 3: Oh my god I have to keep editing this. This song also (apparantly) plays when Natsuki's face starts glitching. I don't know what exact scen it was since I heard it from someone else. I also haven't played DDLC in so long so I don't really remember. Btw you can find the song by searching "unused 6s.ogg) if you're curious.
Dude I used to play sonic the hedgehog when I was about four or five in my psp but I had no reaction to the drowning sound and even though I had a sensitivity to any loud or creepy sound back then (Im not sensitive right now)
1.Make it creepy without context. 2.Do not make much noise if the notes are low. If the notes are high, you can add a lot of noise to make a "going insane" effect. 3.Add effects like heartbeats, pan switching, volume lowering (or increasing), etc... I've watched hundreds of DVGM and these things are present in my creepiest list.
Pokemon tower was wayscarier when I was a kid fighting a bunch of possessed mediums and chanlers, "blood... give me.... blood!" Still kind of creeps me out, also the music was better.
Doki Doki is the only game that sent chills down my spine. The drastic turn of events and trying to process wtf is going on as all the characters slowly kill eachother or themselves was intense. The music just added to it.
Tbh I never found DDLC scary. I kinda knew it was a suprise horror game as soon as I saw it. Plus, Sayori's death never really creeps me out. Yes, it is sad that she hang herself, but imo I have seen worse fates in videogames. Not to say that DDLC is a bad game. In fact, I'm hyped for DDLC+ on the switch, but sadly, I just knew the game was a horror game before ever seeing anything of it and never found the game scary.
@@Illunica3000 bro, I said that 𝗜 never found DDLC scary. It should be obvious that it's my opinion, because that's what imo means (it means "in my opinion"). Thank you for trying to help though.

Sayo-nara had such an awful effect on me that when ever I hear it It makes me numb. I tried to playthrough DDLC about a month ago, but I couldn't bring myself to get to that scene. Dan Salvato definitely achieved the psychological horror value he wanted. Props to him and Team Salvato for making it so unsettling.
@@fonejunky6306 Yes, but you can still see Sayori hanging. I personally think that the song wasn't the thing that horrified me. It was not the music, it was Sayori herself. If I'm being honest, I even cried. Haha.
@@rakill4883 Yeah me too but do you know by spectograming this song we can see that there is actually a spirit sprite (the one we see if don't have Silph scope) on the two parts where is a loud buzz.
