So many hating ass comments from people who can't even afford Fossils or Casios on their wrist. He worked hard, earned his money, and bought nice watches. He may not have spent all day studying about his watches but that's probably because he was practicing his art to be able to afford it!
Jordon Watson because he literally knows nothing about what he owns lol. Could of saved us a whole lot of time by just posting a pic. Not really hard to just buy the most popular watches as long as you can write the check lol.
to all the haters here, this is his watch collection not yours we all have our on taste on what we like, and beside all you haters can't even afford these timepieces any way !
Absolutely fantastic collection. If I had the money I would buy some of the same pieces you own, but each to his or her own taste as I would probably go a little more Rolex and Lange Sohne, but there are some excellent pieces here.
There is no hate. There is just lack of knowledge when it comes to haute horology with the man. When you say IWC is best watch he had in his collection you need learning to do before you trying to teach people something. Holy Trinity members are PP, AP, VC.
I agree. Several commentors have resorted to name-calling and insulting Anthony's speech. What does "ebonics" or being a "hip hop star" have to do with this video? smh.
nim nim parvin I'm pretty sure any truly educated watch enthusiast will agree, an opened worked tourbillon from a legit manufacturer is a "better" watch than a steel sport watch from PP or the monstrosities that are AP ROOS's. Your comment makes me wonder who is really the one lacking in knowledge.
martin blank Any educated watch guy will get PP, AP, VC first. Why? because the are the Elite pioneer in watch making. PP is the family owned and still is one of the few companies that is still kept by them. You might want to watch Hodinkee Video of Patek Phillip Grandmaster Chime to understand pure elegance of horology.
Great collection, You can't go wrong with this pieces. And Patek annual calendar is not for everyone. Some people prefer more solid and bigger pieces..Some people wear sport's watches, others dress watches.
Melo , Keeping it classy without all that shit ( ice/ diamonds ) all over the watches. Good job Melo. I approve of your collection. You may proceed sir.
I think he's trying to say that RM watches are too unconventional in that their design and complications are more of a gimmick than actual horological pieces. In my opinion they're hella ugly too. So seeing someone collecting ugly watches on purpose implies that the 'collector' lacks taste.
ALL KINDS OF GAINZ just because you think they are ugly and don’t have the same history as Patek or Rolex doesn’t mean someone else can’t appreciate the work . I find them to be quite stunning and the “new” school of watches
Carmelo, some very nice pieces. Get rid of the bling stuff - diamonds definitely a no-no for men. why not get some super rare vintage pieces like a Patek 1463, one of the very first elusive Speedmasters, etc ?
Smh, why yall saying he has no taste? Yall sound like you dont even like watches, but stick to the watches that everybody mentions like a true sheep. If you love watches, then you'll buy any watch. you guys are the ones that have no taste.
40ozofstress the hate he's getting is ridiculous...you can see he loves his watches and probably knows a thing or two about what's going on inside them too. He's got some great pieces in there, I don't like all of them, but this is far from just a straight bling collection.
Damn, there's a lot of haters in here lol Personally I hate the RM's. Way too expensive and ugly as hell, but you can't blame the dude for buying popular shit. That's how rich people roll!
i think the problem here is that he doesn t know shit about watches... he didn t even know that his best piece (the last) has a toubillon as a movement
Woah Woah Woah! Calm down people! If you think Patek, Hublot, Rolex, Omega and other famous brands are the only classy watches then you need to learn more about the watch industry. Come on bro. Anyways, I like his collections. Those RMs are solid as! i don't like some of 'em though.
There is a difference between a watch collector and a watch buyer. Carmelo falls into the latter. There is an evolution to being considered a collector of anything i..e. art, cars, watches, rare coins etc. Similar to generational wealth vs. new money. Just my 2 cents...
I'm smart... that's why I bought a watch because it's green... you can't go wrong with the green... then I bought another watch because it's silver... you can't go wrong with the silver... then I bought another watch because it's the rose gold... you can't go wrong with the rose gold... then I bought a car because it's blue... can't go wrong with the blue... then I bought a house because it's grey... can't go wrong with the grey... I'm dating a chick because she's a red head... you can't go wrong with the red... I make decisions based on all the important facts... the looks of things and people... because you can't go wrong when you get stuff that looks like stuff you'd want to make your own stuff... and stuff.
Well technically it could. There are taste class. But Anyhow you are right. Im sure you have great taste in watch. Please show us your amazing collection
at the end when he said His IWC was the best watch he had in his collection, this is when you know he knows nothing. That Patek by far was the best one he had.
A lot of ugly watches. Kudos on the Yacht-Master II, a fantastic timepiece but, at least in my opinion, the watches are ugly. A man wears a leather band watch. The metal clasps look cheap. Would I take his collection? Hell yes lol but a lot of those I'd sell off to buy actual nice looking watches. I own a $50 watches that looks better than a $15,000 watch in this collection. But to each his own, he bought them because he liked them and it's his money. Nice collection. Essentially all the great brands. Quite the collection.
Mihailo Zivkovic I'm really into vintage/vintage-looking watches specifically chronographs on black or brown leather bands such as the CT Scuderia Scrambler, Bell & Ross chrono, Heuer chrono, Breitling chronos are probably one of my favorites, I like WWII era watches and military issued timepieces as well in terms of practical watches. But leatherband vintage chronos when it comes to luxury watches.
as if there is a specific 'taste' that is correct... Fuck off all of you 'watch connaisseurs' I don't like most of those watches, but if he likes them, what's even wrong with it then? Jealous you don't have that kind of money?
That doesn't even make any sense, you can't discuss taste... And claiming I don't know anything about watches because I don't argue with peoples preferences is just ignorant and childish
This guy came to afford these garish status symbols by bouncing and throwing a rubber ball. You can't make this fucking shit up, people. A rubber ball.
