The poet of the piano - he played every Friday night at the famous Rainbow Club, a classy cocktail lounge in Manhattan, N.Y. way back. He also produced the soundtrack of the movie, The Eddy Duchin Story dubbing for Tyrone Power.
My all-time favorite "Pop" pianist. His playing was Always so beautiful. I have 18 albums by him.i guess that my favorites would be the sound track he did for "The Eddy Duchin. story" and "Eddy Duchin Remembered".

Je viens de découvrir cet orchestre et j'en suis ravi car en France, il n'a pas été souvent diffusé, voire pas du tout. Ce qui me surprend aussi, c'est la qualité de la prise de son pour un enregistrement qui date de 1953, même pour un Decca qui était à la pointe de la technologie. Un petit 'miracle' du numérique ?
Muito interessante e irônico o comentário do Stanley Kewbeb a respeito do Tom Ewell, referindo-se, claramente ao filme O Pecado Mora ao Lado (The Seven Year Itch). O pianista era famoso, então. Obrigado a quem compartilhou conosco, esta obra em que a música encantava.
