I made this so Carmilla gets a proper tragic background flashback, that's not with sock puppets.
Sorry, Laura. It WAS hilarious, but kinda disrespectful.
Not as good as I imagined, but given the limited time and sucky computer, I should be satisfied. I'm not, but still. Also, I was kind of tired of the single camera angle, this is why I need a network to pick up this frigging show and make it an hour long TV series!

Woah. Incredible. This was so well put together, and a fantastic addition to the Carmilla world. Thank you so much for creating it, it's wonderful to now have a visual piece illustrating Carmilla's past. (And yes, that single camera angle will be the death of me).

Eva Green would be great, considering she's in the originals now I think. But the movie she was in where she played a very repressed gay woman was used in here & well. This whole story was well done with the clips & Dracula scenes & drawings. Very angst & emotional with her flat voice/narration. Natasha's voice is lovely.

Thanks! I know, the show's puppet's backstory was perfect for the series' format, but I'm a sucker for angst and had to make something about it, lol!

I really loved this! As much as I love the Carmilla series, (which is A LOT) I have always wanted to see a really well-done, faithful adaptation of the novella and I've never found one which seemed to suit it properly. This comes the closest!

Wow, that's a huge compliment! Thanks! I do really love this show and I'm starting to dig a lot the vlog format, but part of me really wants a one-hour tv show, with bad CGI, sfx, backstories and a whole lotta stuff, but this way they have a lot more freedom, expressing their ideas and views, without having to sacrifice parts of the story because network CEOs say so. And I'd rather have a good story than a good setting, idk. I'm quite torn. I'll be very happy with a season 2 the way the show is tho. #ubykotex make it happen.

This is absolutely beautiful and adds such a different angle on the show. There is a darkness behind a lot of the story that the episodes don't really touch on but this hits that atmosphere just right. Awesome.

Awwww thanks! This is exactly what I was aiming for! I just wished the actresses had had a tiny bit of background so that I could've used them. Also, this is also why I need an hour-long series: a tiny bit of darkness added would be great! And Laura could go on making her funny vlogs as usual in between actual episodes!

Kitty Grimm I have to agree. After seeing her in 300:Rise of an Empire she does seem to be the type that would fill the role quite nicely as the Dean. Play nice with you ,and then slice your face off. Not to mention the eyeballs in martini glasses.

Fun Fact: Elizabeth Bathory, the bloody countess was the inspiration for Carmilla. Just posted this out of anyone curiosity for the story origin itself.

Yeah, it was a bit disrespectful of her, but we have to remember this show is listed as a comedy and, while I wasn't dying of second-hand embarassment, I actually really enjoyed the sock puppet show and how Laura shifted from making fun of Carm's backstory to actually feeling sorry for her in the end. And considering it was all shot in a single 7 minute take, it really shows how good the two actresses are! Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it :D

Thanks! And I don't think so. I mean, if the actresses had done other movies, I would've used Nat as old-Carmilla and Elise as L for sure because of reasons. But I think maybe Laura just reminds Carm of L? We know for sure that the actual novella from 1872 has everything to do with the L bit of the story, so I'm pretty sure her real name was Laura and that's why Carmilla can't bring herself to say it. If you notice it, she never once calls Laura by her name and that's pretty sad. I think the Dean assigned here to Laura Hollis just to further her punishment and it's no coincidence. Idk, I really put some thought into this, uh? lol

+yukiandkanamekuran Yeah, but in her defense, Anna said it was done in a rush, on a so-so computer. This would make an excellent show to compliment TEEN WOLF on MTV. Heck, I can't help but think what CARMILLA' S opening credits would look like with the TEEN WOLF theme song.
