That was a great video as always Dan. I think the highlight for me - even more than the actual shoe repair - was Carla with the plunger! I hope it came off easily because it would have made for a very interesting 999 call to the ambulance service if it remained stuck to her! Lol. Definitely as much customer reaction as possible, please!
Nice customer reaction, and they looked even better out in the daylight 😎 And general comments, have you ever blindstitched a rubber sole? Was that a Casio watch? Can we see your watch collection?
I really don´t know how, when, or why the youtube algorythm recommended me this channel, but dude, I´m so happy!!! This is quality artisan product mode here, and I love this kind of videos. Keep it coming bro. Cheers from Spain
Dan, it is amazing to me how far you've come with your business. Your RU-vid adventure has allowed you to expand and you now have employees! Beautiful job on the shoes. Love the red.
Great video! I know Carmina shoemakers (since 1866), the Albaladejo family business based in Palma de Mallorca. Great shoes at decent prices, easiest place to look is online, but if you're in Palma, then their charming shop is very central, on the Passeig (Paseo) d'es Born, and they have a great selection of high quality footwear there. (I was born nearby). Lots of shoes, perfect for Dan to customise for you! I loved the red airbrushed soles, although I'd probably be reluctant to walk out in them - but I'd definitely show them off indoors - on carpet! Dan, get sticky, cobble away and enjoy the 70's retro lift music (which I now invariably associate with Tring...!) 😊
Love, love, love the airbrushing! And don't scare me like that. I was into full sticky dance mode, and the song didn't come on!!!! Does anyone else dance to the sticky music? 🎶 Awesome job 😊
Your work is absolutely beautiful, Dan. Until I discovered your channel I never knew just how good a pair of shoes could look and I have learned so much from watching your videos. Thank you very much.
Always nice to see the variety of watches you wear. I'm a fan of watches myself. The repairs border on artwork and I appreciate the care you show. Thank you for the education. For example, I never would have thought to put a plunger on my stomach! Cobbling would be a great next pursuit.
I love your videos🫶🏻Your craftsmanship and beautiful final product is just amazing every time! Thanks for sharing your skills and art with the world 🙏🏻👏🏻❤️
Wow. The toe plates really had a lot of wear. If it weren't for the toe plates, then the tips of the soles would have been in horrible condition. Carla with the plunger was really funny. I totally enjoyed watching and hearing your customer's comments about his restored shoes at the end of the video.
I remember you mentioning you're getting additional help for the videos (Carla, I guess?) and I think the videos are much better for it. Sometimes quality improvements can be overdone and go too far, but not in this case. It's the same content we love, just higher quality.
The editing has improved so much! Cozy vibes are back on the menu!!! I’m enjoying a lot of Carla’s handheld angles as well. Would love to see some of the old wider angle stationary shots brought back in too
Ден,ты светлый человек.И видно,ты любишь свою работу-это счастье для человека.Всё идеально,профи,всегда с хорошим настроением.Спасибо!Приятно смотреть,удачи и успехов!
Dang you never fail to amaze and impress! I’ve been a subscriber for quite some time and I truly believe you are one of the best cobbler/artist/craftsman on all of RU-vid! Love from sunny south Florida ❤Diane
Fantastic, entertaining video. Your customer was kind stating he would recommend you. If you were local to me, I would give you my shoes for your magic touch.
Man the quality of your work is impeccable. You are the best cobbler I’ve seen on RU-vid. Been a fan for a while. Do you accept repairs or requests from the U.S.?
I was just going to ask where the let's get sticky music was but then it started, phew! The music playing at 8:40 is also a really nice touch, not sure if that's new. Definitely more of that in future videos!
When you grind the toe plate, are you not scared the sparks cause a fire with all the dust in and on the machine, mighty fine job those shoes are so nice x
I have a question. Why is one corner of the heel a different shape than the other? Is this for effect or what? I'm specifically looking at 18:25-31 into the video. Thanks for answering. Great job, though.
Hey Dan, I just bought my first pair of louboutin and I really want to protect them before I wear them at my wedding. Do you have any suggestions? I don't want to do anything that will damage the original shoe
I have noticed you using a little hot iron on the cork filling. Can’t say ive seen you doing that it a lot of other videos. Can you please explain the purpose of using the iron? Thank you. The edit is, maybe the camera person could ask this question next time you are using the hot iron?
