Unfortunately I can’t completely answer that question. I did remove one, but it was a day or two after installation. It didn’t hurt anything in my vehicle and left no residue. I am not sure about long term.

I was actually thinking about doing a one year update on this. I still use it daily and I have it in our two vehicles plus my company vehicle. Nothing is perfect, but this still works great for me, and I am in no way affiliated with Carmount. Thanks for asking and thanks for watching.

You definitely can do that if your cover is thin enough. Mine was a little thick and didn’t hold very well under the cover. Thanks for watching.

Yes, you can remove it. I had to take mine off to put it in a different location. You just apply pressure to one end of it and it slowly begins to release the adhesive. I probably kept pressure on it for at least 30 seconds or so until it completely released. It left the spot clean as well. No residue. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

I believe the directions say to press in a downward motion slowly to remove. Best mount for me and I’ve had just about all the kinds you can get. My only gripe is that you probably will have to stick that plate on the back of case which is kinda of an eye sore imo. My case is black leather so its not terrible.

Yeah, I should have done that by now. It would be positive. It’s been well over a year now and I still use this daily, and we have it in three vehicles.

I’m still using the same mounts from the video. So far, mine haven’t moved or fallen off at all. I picked a really smooth surface and cleaned it really well.

If you're referring to the metal plate for the back of the phone, there seems to be a lot of choices. Here's one I found on Amazon: amzn.to/48hs750. It's not a "Carmount" brand, but it only needs to be a metal plate. Not sure how well these work, but that's what they're made for. There are quite a few other choices as well. @@morgiano4 I still use it daily. I have one in my truck, suv, and company car. I still like it. May not work for every application but so far it’s been good for me.

I actually haven’t done that yet, but supposedly, according to Carmount, it will come off clean. I think you slowly tilt it up to release the adhesive.

@@2thmanfl so I actually took one off the other day. I purchased a couple more to add one to my boat and one to my Tahoe. After I put it in the Tahoe, I realized it was in a bad spot. I just applied consistent pressure to one end of the mount and it came off very clean. Probably took 30 to 45 seconds of pressure before it completely released, but there was no evidence of residue or damage to the area. It was mounted to the plastic trim around the radio. Anyway, it removed as they said and they sent an extra adhesive strip to be able to mount it again. It would not remount with the used adhesive. Hope that helps.

You really need calm down! If you are not happy with this product then go exhale your ridiculous thoughts else where rather then bring this gentleman down who has put alot of effort in this video

Agreed mine keeps sliding to side then falls of over bumps in the road. Quad lock is the go I have found
