Excellent video! I do have a question: if I were to attempt to get more of that Classic/Carmy fit, should I stay to true to size, or would it be wise to go one size up?
Thank you so much I really appreciate that! 😁🙏🏽🔥 I would say if you’re usually a size medium, stick with a medium, and if you’re usually a size large, I would size up to an extra large. I feel like the sizes from Large and up feel very small to size. Hope this helps! 😁
Great video, loved the great in-depth analysis about the brand and the t shirt. Never did I think I would drop close to $100 for a single tshirt but after your video it certainly made me consider haha. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I definitely have to say I am right there with you, I never thought I’d do that either because it IS a hefty price tag, but honestly when you feel it in hand and see it, you really notice the difference. Cheers my friend! 🙏🏽👌🏽😁
I got one of these yesterday, initial impression is good. I have a few merz pieces and have alway been impressed. This has more of a luxury feel than a warehouse tee id say, which feels more rugged IMO.
i was actually hiking in the region the shirts are produced las year. beautiful region. kinda funny that now, a year later, i want to buy a shirt from there.
Thank you so much! They should actually be restocking soon I believe. I would go to their site and sign up for restock notifications on the shirt you want! Hope this helps my friend
Merz is definitely the shirt of the moment. Have you tried 3sixteen or Warehouse tees when you were at Selfedge? The latter can't really be oversized cause they're legit Japanese sizing though. I got a UES Ramayana tee recently and had to get a XXL when I'm usually a M/L
Cheers my friend thanks for the comment! I have seen the 3Sixteens in person, but not the Warehouses unfortunately, which is one I do want to pick up as I have heard a lot about those recently as well! The 3Sixteens were nice but just felt pretty similar to the Left Fields in my opinion, and I like the Left Fields a lot, so I didn’t buy them. So in reality other than seeing and feeling it in person, I can’t say I have had true experience unfortunately. I’m sure they’re great though because I buy from 3sixteen a LOT and the garments have always treated me well. Hope this helps! And thanks for the recs 😁🙏🏽🔥
@@AlejandroJomar I'm on a tee journey also. From what I've tried, the Warehouse tees run a little short and even their XXL fits the same as a US large so I can't recommend them for the price if you want oversized. Samurai, UES, Warehouse are all amazing quality but are all slimmer and shorter than my US sizing, even smaller than Uniqlo I mentioned 3sixteen because the quality was close enough to the Japanese brands while still being able to size up, and price wise I think you can get a 2 pack for roughly the same as what a single Merz runs for, while only being slightly less in quality. I was going to get a Merz B. at Franklin&Poe but I've been more into Japanese heritage at the moment
@@runthefuture i’ve heard that about the Warehouses, but I actually enjoy the cropped length t shirts these days to be honest. The true to size Merz B. has that kind of appearance as well. I do want to try and get into the Japanese Heritage stuff as well, but I’m just so satisfied with the Merz that it makes it hard for me lmfao 🤣😭 I’m definitely gonna do it for the content though. 😈🫡
Thank you so much for the compliment! I am 6 foot 1" my friend. The definitely do shrink in the length on the first wash so bear (no pun intended) that in mind!
So hypothetically, if Merz B Schwanen is a 9/10 white t-shirt (compared to an imaginary perfect *10* tee), what would you rate Lady White Co.? I have the 2s14 and the 215 btw and they are _fantastic._ Currently about to buy a 3sixteen tee, Whitesville 2-pack, Reigning champ tee, and considering the Lady White Co as well.
I have a bunch of Merz but my Whitesville are my favorites, longer sleeves, high and tight color, awesome build quality. And Carmy wears those too according to the costume designer.
@@goldendawn7 Man, I’m partial to the Merz tees tbh. Whitesville are definitely like the platonic ideal of what a tee could be from a “basic article of clothing” standpoint, but Merz feels more elevated.
@krisjones4051 I can absolutely see how Merz can be anyone's favorite, and they're a super close second to mine. That little bit that puts one above the other is sheer subjectivity and personal preference. Love mine and will buy more. Really want to try the 1970s shirts they do, can't find reviews on them anywhere.
Hey thanks for posting this! What is your height/weight? I usually wear a medium, but these seem pretty small. I'm in them middle of getting a L and XL
Hey, no problem at all! I am 6’1” and I weigh 165 lbs 🙏🏽 I actually posted a TikTok recently of what going true-to-size looks like on my body if that helps you as well, maybe checking it out could help you make a decision! They do run small but the medium fits me almost like Carmy’s does (though he had his tailored.) let me get you the link!
@@oscarbainbridge8656Thank you man I appreciate it! I know a lot but I’m definitely not all-knowing and learn a lot from you guys all the time as well 😁 I feel like I know a lot because I’m very receptive to others and am willing to learn 🫡
Interesting I’ve never actually seen these in person, I’m very intrigued! I’m sorry they don’t come in your size, unfortunately they can’t make more of these vintage machines really anymore so they claim. They only have what they have. I have heard Bronson MFG has a great alternative to these though!
I definitely bought mine from Self Edge for $95 😅 you may be looking at the super heavyweight version of this shirt. The 215 shirt which I have is actually currently 100% sold out right now unfortunately, maybe that’s why you can’t find it?
Honestly I feel you and respect how you feel with your experience, I’m not sure what must have happened with yours. Mine have been great so far through all my washes, and while I do love the fit of mine, I can see what you mean about the fit, because it is more of a heritage style fit. Very straight body and short on the shoulders. I happen to like the heritage style so it works for me, but I can see why not everyone would like it. What t-shirts are you wearing these days may I ask?
