Wish I would of saw you there. I’ve been going there since I was born,my dad raced there for 17 years all the way up to modified.

I grew up going to Bowman Gray! Such a wild shit show that place is. Extremely entertaining and different from most places 😂 I can’t imagine showing up to a race with a car and signing up to start and park. If I’m in a race car on lap 1 of a race, I’m not pulling into the pits. I’m racing that race.

When a cars don't compete the first lap you have a compete restart, that's why they could start a back up car. I've probably promote 2,500 shows mostly at Franklin County Speedway. Thanks Flipper

We saw a few nights like that at Hickory when we were running against your dad. Drunk, disorderly, and wrecked up car. We spent a few nights at the shop because everyone was too drunk to drive home. We also knew that we just had to come back Sunday morning to tear the car down and start fixing it.

Start and park rides for car count is not a new thing. At Irwindale Speedway in California where we usually run, they would run PLM's with SLM's years ago for car count for the national championship. I don't remember if they were doing it in 2001 when we won the track championship, but I do know they were doing it in the years following. Great video, looks like a great time, I need to go see this myself!!

That’s a perfect legend car track never knew why they don’t run them there. Or if they do but if they do they should run them the same night as these divisions.

I'd think for as Off The Wall the Madhouse is, Waterford in Connecticut needs BOTH a Tear Down and a Rebuild with all the Suspect Management and the Word on the Street is their GM Quitting Last Saturday Night.

Racing there not as good since the re-pave. Used to be able to take the outside on restarts and stand a chance of picking up a spot. But not now. Although it did get little better towards end of the year

They do qualify sportsman for larger events (like the 100 lap they ran on 6/25). Generally you'll see more start and parks in the mods on nights when there are twin races. There aren't as many when they have one big event. Personally I find the mods to be the most boring thing at bowman gray. 6/18 was an interesting night, of course Chris & Jonboy were only able to compete for the win, not for points in that second race where they switched cars.

The national championship is always helped by Start n parks they do it everywhere. South Boston motor mile Greenville Pickens did it when AA won the National its been a problem for years if you want to win do it at Hickory

You need to come film some dirt track racing and get ya a car going. Natural Bridge Speedway, Wythe Raceway, Friendship Motor Speedway etc..... Or you guys going to be at Ace Speedway this weekend? Lonesome Pine Raceway on the 23rd? Huge race at Orange County Speedway on the 23rd also. Or Hickory Motor Speedway the 23rd.
