That's one mean torta, dawg. Back in high school me and my friend would get together to make tortas because we were fatasses. His uncle has a panadería and one day we asked him to make us some XL bolillos. You could ask your local panadero to make you some XL bolillos. It truly is a game changer.
I liked the idea of then one marrow in the torta, but the bacon and egg…..( not to thrilled about that part…….. seems like you were into brunch……… ) however that bone marrow just opened my eyes……… I’ve had it before and it was AMAZING!!! ……… BUT!!!! I’ll be honest the gas I was passing about fainted everyone in the house 😆…….. your torta looked great though. My mouth watered watching the end result.
Looks amazing! I dont know why but ive been on an ethnic sandwich kick and i want to make it myself rather then going to a taqueria, carne asada and banh-mi are very similar.. love them both!
I’ve loved Fortas since I was a kid in the 70’s. Been one of my favorites since. I make them on my limited sandwich rotation. Totally agree that telera rolls are better than bolillo rolls. The only difference? Lose the egg, and add the refritos spread on the bun. Then cover with salsa. But I would eat yours too. After I tossed the egg. lol. Looks delicious!
