Nicely done! I cooked one just like that a few days ago and had similar success. My wife and I got three dinners from an $8 chicken. Fun to cook, too.

I’ve loved Fortas since I was a kid in the 70’s. Been one of my favorites since. I make them on my limited sandwich rotation. Totally agree that telera rolls are better than bolillo rolls. The only difference? Lose the egg, and add the refritos spread on the bun. Then cover with salsa. But I would eat yours too. After I tossed the egg. lol. Looks delicious!

You are supposed to boil them for a few minutes, or untill you can stick a tooth pick through it. then fry them to your oikings. Total time to cook one two hours depending on the amount.

Hi, Do you know that "Camaronazo" is made with "Red 40"? It is a very harmful: it is derived from petroleum distillates or coal tars. Cheers!!

Looks delicious ricky.. would like to say how i make mine.. i use the broth i cooked the shrimp and shells in, i also add a couple bay leaves, a couple smashed cloves of garlic, half an onion, some whole celery stalks for that vegetal note, a little msg if no ones allergic, strain the shrimp, discard bay leaves, celery, garlic, onion from the broth.save the shrimp of course,chill the broth add your fresh onion,cucumber,cilantro, add your ketchup, avocado, also add about 1.5 teaspoons of horseradish, about 1 teaspoon sugar, a little clam juice if desired.. you dont need clamato, just broth and ketchup.. dont forget the hot sauce.. i use chiltepin.. give this a try its a game changer amigo.. saludos. 👍

Poppers are a family favorite but this video reminded me that I haven’t done them in a long time!! The prep is kinda of a drag but the technique of softening them up by smoking them has got me interested in trying it that way. Very nice! Thanks Ricky!
