I love Love your videos !!! However the extra money Spent on a cruise ship excursion is cheaper than being late back to the ship because the ship doesn’t have to wait for you !!!! And going in a cab that will come back To get you at a certain time ….is for me personally a better shot at getting back on time . But again just my Opinion and so that’s a lot Of walking to save a few bucks
This was a really cool video for those who plan to go but have never been to St Thomas. It was informative on both ways to get around. Good cardio and saving money too 😊 eating all that cruise food gets to me so it is nice to get a good walk in. Hopefully it is a safe place in general? I looks ok from what I saw. Beautiful scenery on Water Island 🌴 looks like Paradise
This was the best instructional video ever!! I watched it 4 times and took meticulous notes. Our family followed our directions and had THE best visit to Water Island. The timing, pricing and direction details were perfection. Thank you a million times over!!
I’m comfortable but I was exhausted watching y’all make that trek. I prefer to pay more and get to my destination sooner and spend more time having fun.
The trek wasn’t that bad. Probably looked longer with me trying to vlog all the details. But I totally understand that! When it’s just me or me and the hubby we go for convenience as well. But with the kids we try to save and make it all about the “journey”.
Question: Approximately how much did you pay round trip to get from the port to the beach and back? I'm a Solo Cruiser and I don't think that I'd be so comfortable taking the less costly route.
I love all your videos, the night clubs get busy around 12 midnight and they stay open to 3am in the morning like most clubs on land. Mostly for young adults.
First time commenting to your channel. This is my third video and just love your content. I am a school administrator and love your transition from school administrator to content creator. Keep up the good work 😊.
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this trick. I am going with my husband this November, and I totally HATE paying so much for everything. I LOVE your way of doing things with a family, and you still do everything, but you are smart with your money! Blessings to you and your beautiful family!
Thank you for the video. We are book on the Carnival Magic going to Saint Thomas, Saint Maarten, Amber Cove and San Juan. You are blessed with a Beautiful Family!!
Did you drive the jeep yourself? I bet that was scary! That’s one thing I don’t like about St. Thomas. The mountains/hills are beautiful but I don’t want to drive up them lol.
We have something in common. I was at Coco Kay 2016 where the hammock won and I lost.. 21:48 I can relate😂. To this day, it’s brought up. It was hilarious🤣 Thanks for being budget conscious but I would be done going up those steps.
We docked at Crown Bay the last time we cruised (Royal Caribbean) and it was so easy to catch the water taxi. Loved Honeymoon Beach! I'll be solo on the next cruise, and since it's NCL, I'm assuming it'll be Havensight. You pointed out the Pueblo and the bus stop, and emphasized confirming the $2 Safari, but do you just pay when you get on? I had no idea you could use Venmo for the water taxi! We paid cash and thought that was the only method of payment they accepted. Yay! Love your videos! So helpful!
Yes docking at Crown Bay makes it a lot easier!!! You pay the $2 when you get off the safari bus. And I love that they accept Venmo. I think that is a recent change as when we visited in 2021 they only accepted cash. Enjoy your solo cruise and thanks for watching!
That was a long walk, but it was unnecessary, they was a closer bus stop on the opposite side of Nisky center, instead walking towards Pueblo, just cross the street from the Crown bay marina and take a left up to the main street, on the opposite side there's a bus stop from the shopping center.
Need water shoes now since the storm went through with the 60-80 mph winds, it washed all the rocks up. And a big ship is sinking with cars on it , so oil and gas was on top of the water. It was a big mess and another boat was washed up closer in as well.
Thank you. Ron didn’t make this trip. He had to work. We had just gotten off Carnival Sunrise before boarding this ship. He decided to take that one since it was a new ship for him.
I feel bad that you guys took the long way down to get a safari. Next time if you walked up the street from the entrance to crown bay (not the right to Pueblo) you could get on the safari across the street from KFC. It would be a 5 minute walk from the water taxi.
@@lashandafrancis3183 we will definitely try that next time! The local we were talking to said we’d have to cross the street but it seemed too dangerous. The walk wasn’t too bad but next time we will certainly look for the KFC! Thank you for this tip!
I got a carnival cruise coming up. One of the stops is in St. Thomas. I think I want to go to honeymoon Beach instead of Megan’s bay to beat the crowds does the taxis take you straight there if you want to from the cruise port ?
Yes the taxis will take you directly to Crown Point Marina to the ferry. You’ll have to catch the ferry over to honeymoon beach. It leaves at the top of the hour.
@@NYCslots24 I can’t recall off top of my head but I do share it in this vlog (taxi rates when we get off the ship- and ferry cost before we board). I believe the ferry was $15 per adult round trip.
We cruise 8-10 times per year if not more. I am now a full time travel advisor and cruise content creator so cruising is “business” for me. Carnival still carries the torch as our fave line. They are the most family friendly and affordable in our opinion.
I rather just take a taxi. I'm not doing all that walking on vacation lol. If it was a long walk straight to the beach, then I would do it. I do it when I go to Nassau. But all that walking and still having to take a bus, water taxi and shuttle; that is just way too much.
